Immediate opportunities for MEDICAL ASSISTANTS, PHLEBOTOMISTS, NURSES, PA’s, EMT’s, MED STUDENTS, PATIENT CARE TECH’s, RESPIRATORY THERAPY ASSISTANTS to work FLEXIBLE FULL and/or PART-TIME HOURS supporting Cruise Ship testing in Florida!

AHA’s traveling COVID-19 Tester/Swabber provides proactive, one-on-one patient care in the most convenient way possible. Our team is a dynamic group of professional, well-presented, and self-motivated individuals who administer & perform COVID-19 tests to guests and crew members at the terminal prior to boarding the cruise ships. May test crew members at an alternate location (i.e., cruise line facility or hotel). Work schedules vary based on the cruise schedules.
Location: PORT OF MIAMI
Pay Range: $17-25/hour
Shifts: Thurs-Sun OR Fri-Sun
. Requirements:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Drive to assigned location(s)
Wearing appropriate PPE (provided by employer)
Collect & log patient paperwork and documentation, as needed
Perform Nasal PCR and Nasal Rapid Antigen tests
Ensures specimen integrity by adhering to procedures for specimen handling and processing.
Create requisitions and labeling samples for testing and analysis
Prepare collected specimens for laboratory testing
Operates test systems proficiently
Follows all safety, infection control and OSHA guidelines
Utilizes appropriate supplies with minimal waste
Comply with SOPs and Safety Policies to prevent the spread of COVID-19, including proper use of PPE (personal protective equipment), social distancing, and hand washing
Proactively educating prospective customers on services and answering questions
Adhere to and maintain HIPAA standards
Comfortable working under minimal supervision
Participate and successfully complete mandatory training administered by AHA’s CMO or appointed designee, to include quarterly competency evaluation
Other tasks as assigned
Qualifications:
Medical background, training and/or experience is highly recommended
CMA, CNA, LVN, LPN, RN, Nurse Technicians, Phlebotomist, Respiratory Therapist, EMT, or Paramedic (preferred)
High school or equivalent (required)
