Job Description : The County of Warren is now accepting applications for the following position:CRIME ANALYST This is a full-time position within the Sheriff’s Office. Duties include, but are not limited investigating criminal activity, maintaining records and files, preparing reports regarding past, present and future crimes and crime trends. Applicant must have some knowledge of police methods, practices and procedures; knowledge of the intelligence cycle and criminal investigations, collection, analyzing and dissemination of criminal investigation information. general knowledge of the geography of the County and location of important buildings; working knowledge of the rules and regulations of the Sheriff’s Office; strong interpersonal and organizational skills, and strong written and oral communication skills. Ability to learn complex software and databases that supportData-Driven Approaches to Crime and Traffic Safety (DDACTS). Proficiency in Word and Excel is required. Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, law enforcement or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Degree or training in crime analyses preferred. Starting salary is $49,706.62 annually, depending on qualifications. Candidates must complete a Warren County Sheriff’s Office job application.
