Position : Electronic Troubleshoot Technician
Job Description : L3Harris’ Communication Systems segment is currently seeking Electronic Technicians to join our team. This position will be based at our Rochester, NY facility. This position offers relocation.Position Overview:In this role, individuals may be responsible for conducting tests on a variety of RF or digital printed circuit boards, subassemblies, or end products. Must be capable of using a variety of test equipment, logging information in technical databases and have a basic understanding of engineering schematics.Basic troubleshooting skills are required. This should include troubleshooting product, subassembly, and circuit board failures to component level. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with a cross-functional team.Essential Responsibilities:Troubleshoot to board level and unit level to components. – 30%Trouble shoot to unit level at all route steps – 50%Work with engineering teams to understand root cause – 20%Uses computer software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook (Unicam knowledge a plus)Performs LabVIEW driven automated testsUses basic test equipment, i.e. Signal generators, oscilloscopes, power meters, spectrum analyzersReads and understands schematic diagramsIdentifies problems and contributes to process improvementsQualifications:Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of technician or troubleshooting experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior technician or troubleshooting experience.Preferred Additional Skills:Basic knowledge of Electrical Engineering theory; Associates degree (technical discipline) is preferredElectronics / RF Troubleshooting Experience preferred.Experience with L3Harris RFCD products and assembly processes is preferredRegularly demonstrates a positive attitudeWillingness to work and learn in fast paced production environmentJob Type: Full-timePay: $36,000.00 – $80,000.00 per yearBenefits:Health insurancePaid time offParental leaveSchedule:Day shiftMonday to FridayNight shiftWeekend availabilityEducation:High school or equivalent (Required)License/Certification:Driver’s License (Preferred)Willingness to travel:25% (Preferred)Work Location: One location
