Northrop Grumman has an opening for a Final Assembly Inspector to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Chandler, AZ.
Experience and Required Skills
Must have a work history of overall quality inspection experience with (6) or more continuous years with demonstrated knowledge of high reliability workmanship standards with hardware/interfaces typical of the high tech industry.
Knowledge of AS9100 (or equivalent) and other related standards.
Hands-on knowledge of inspection methods and techniques
Experience using Hand Tooling such as Micrometers, Dial Calipers, and Height gage.
Must be able to read Drawings and have a working understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance.
Should have a demonstrated ability to work with minimal oversight and in a multi-discipline team environment, providing insight and solutions to complicated issues both technical and procedural.
Must possess written and oral communications, along with interpersonal skills that aid in achieving both primary and multi-departmental goals.
Work related experience should demonstrate increasing levels of responsibility.
Efficient using Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Certification in IPC-A-610 (Acceptability of Electronic Assemblies)
Certification in IPC-A-600 (Acceptability of Printed Boards)
Certification/Knowledge in IPC/WHMA-A-620 (Requirements and Acceptance for cable and Wire Harness Assemblies) is a plus
Experience working with TipQa, MES, and CostPoint software is a Plus
Proficient at planning /organization, and decision-making skills
Basic Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent and 6 years related experience
Ability to work with a team
Strong written and verbal communications
Preferred Qualifications:
Hands-on knowledge of inspection methods and techniques
Knowledge and experiences with inspection tools and equipment
Knowledge of TIPQA, Cost Point, and MES

Salary Range: $61,000 USD – $101,600 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
