Job Description : GRAPHIC DESIGNERJob description: · Must be creative and initiate ideas while maintaining overall focus on union brand, vision and goals for print and digital graphics.· Able to take direction and collaborate with multiple team members across the organization in a deadline-driven environment.· Implement and maintain design formats, standards and processes to produce consistent quality results.· Design logos and graphics for union events (virtual and in-person) including printed collateral such as brochures, programs, posters/signage, mailers.· Packaging and swag design for union events, i.e., t-shirts, bags, buttons and cups. · Work on design projects with ability to translate your designs from print to electronic communications and vice versa, including email banners, electronic invites, web assets, e-newsletters, digital event content, virtual backgrounds and other social media assets.Responsibilities: · Attend and participate in meetings and trainings, whether in-person and remote.· Keep track of all projects worked on, including file maintenance and backup to electronic workflow database.· Stay current with software and applications. Share information and knowledge with co-workers.· Create and sustain relationships within the Graphics and Communications Departments as well as all departments of the union.Qualifications/Skills Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or equivalent degree.3-5+ years of digital and print graphic design experience.Proficient in the Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign.After Effects/Premiere Pro is a plus.Familiar with offset and digital printing process.Strong in typography and layout and an eye for union aesthetics.Knowledge of social media standards and best practices.Photo-retouching skills.Excellent communication skills.Knowledge of electronic filing systems, file organization and preflight and packaging projectsPlease submit cover letter and resume with the position title in the subject of the email.Job Type: Full-timePay: From $65,000.00 per yearSchedule:Monday to FridayEducation:Bachelor’s (Preferred)Experience:Graphic design: 1 year (Preferred)Adobe Creative Suite: 1 year (Preferred)Adobe Illustrator: 1 year (Preferred)Work Location: One location
