Reports to: Green For All Director of Strategy and Systems
Location: Remote

Salary Range: $65,000 – $80,000, Bay Area, California depending on experience and location (range will be adjusted for location)

We work at the intersection of environmental, economic, and racial justice movements to advance solutions to poverty and pollution. Green For All works nationwide to ensure people of color have a voice in the climate movement and that solutions bring clean energy, good jobs, and better health to the communities that are most impacted.

Purpose of The Position:

Green For All is looking for a Community Partnerships Associate to help develop deep partnerships to ground Green For All’s work in the needs of communities most impacted by poverty, pollution, and climate change.
The Community Partnerships Associate will keep a pulse on local communities, coordinate support to partners on the ground, and support the development of a national network of community partners in order to advance broad support for bipartisan climate solutions that lift up low-income communities, communities of color, and environmental justice communities. The position is managed by the Director of Systems and Strategy and will work closely with Green For All’s policy, campaign, and green jobs teams as well as Dream Corps’ communications, development, and digital engagement departments to advance strategies that foster long term relationships with local communities across each body of Green For All’s work.
Minimum Job Requirements:
Minimum 1 – 2 years of experience leading issue-based advocacy campaigns, coalitions, or community outreach and engagement efforts across multiple states or regions
Outstanding relationship-building skills with strong group facilitation and conflict resolution skills
Experience conducting direct outreach, engagement, capacity building, and/or technical assistance with community-based or grassroots organizations
Demonstrated commitment to racial justice, economic justice, and/or climate justice, with working knowledge of climate and clean energy, clean transportation, or green jobs and workforce issues
Demonstrated skill and ability to navigate complex racial and political dynamics to build support among partners across the political spectrum and across movements or sectors toward a common goal
Proven track record of using relationship and coalition-building skills to advance policy or solutions-oriented campaigns
Dynamic presentation skills and ability to train and build leadership capacity among volunteers and emerging leaders
Ability to synthesize and clearly communicate complex information for diverse and mass audiences (e.g., volunteers, partners, funders, media)
Strong project management and creative problem-solving skills to move projects or campaigns from an idea to implementation
Experience helping to manage the distribution of stipends or subgrants to community-based partners or organizations
A dynamic, proactive leader who is self-driven, highly reliable, and is able to work productively independently, and remotely while remaining communicative and accountable through Slack, Email, Phone, Salesforce, Asana, etc.
Flexible and adaptable work style and interest in being part of a dynamic, evolving team and organization

Preferred Education/Skills/Experience:

2 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor’s Degree

Duties and Responsibilities:

Partnerships & Community Engagement

Conducts outreach and develops and manages strategic relationships to support the buildout of a national network of community-based partners working in/with low-income communities and communities of color
Helps maintain programmatic infrastructure to support partner collaboration, communication, and community-building, such as a newsletter, network calls, and other communication channels as needed
Identifies and uplifts to the team opportunities to elevate, amplify, and advance strategically-aligned local efforts and engages partners to participate in and amplify digital and in-person actions, events, and narrative change campaigns in close collaboration with campaign managers
Collaborates with communications and digital engagement departments to develop educational resources and provide tactical training (i.e. workshops, webinars, etc.) to local leaders and staff at partner organizations
Collaborates with partner organizations to host curated events and execute communications and digital engagement strategies that uplift projects, policies, and case studies demonstrating inclusive green economic solutions
Advises the team on fund allocation to support the efforts of strategically aligned partners
Works with partner organizations to help identify directly impacted voices and uplift their stories via Green For All media and communications, to shape the public dialogue
Engages partners to participate in and amplify digital and in-person actions, events, and narrative change campaigns (e.g., asking for amplification on a day of action, etc.)

Program Support
Supports strategic planning and cross-programmatic work.
Regularly tracks and reports on progress toward goals, and contributes content for grant reports, supporter emails, and other program communications
Represents Green For All as a public speaker at partner events, stakeholder convenings, conferences, etc. as needed
Other activities and projects, as assigned

Travel: Must be willing and able to travel occasionally (estimated 20%), including for in-person staff meetings and retreats, upon safely resuming in-person travel.

All full-time employees receive Medical, Dental & Vision coverage. Dream Corps pays 100% of premiums for employees, spouses, and dependents. Part-time employees receive 50% coverage. After a 6-month waiting period, employees can contribute to our retirement plan. Currently, Dream Corps offers up to a 5% match. We also offer a flexible spending, pre-tax program for medical expenses, dependent care expenses, transit expenses, and parking expenses. All full-time Dream Corps employees accrue 4 weeks of vacation time off and 12 days of sick time off over the first year of employment. Part-time employees accrue time off on a prorated basis. In addition to 10 paid holidays, Dream Corps also provides paid time off from December 24th through January 1st each year.
