Job Description : Mainstreet Community Bank of FloridaHUMAN RESOURCE/PAYROLL ASSISTANTFLSA Status: Hourly – Non-ExemptReports to: This position reports directly to the Human Resource ManagerEducation: A College degree preferredExperience Required: Two years of Human Resource and/or payroll processing experience preferredPerformance Requirements: Positive attitude, respect for supervisor and coworkers; maintains and ensures confidentiality; Exceptional communications skills in both oral and written form; exceptional organizational skills; strong problem solving and analytical skills, ability to work as a team with other staff members; ability to accept and follow instructions; ability to multi-task; cooperation; flexibility; adherence to security procedures; compliance with rules and regulations; ability to meet deadlines when assigned by supervisor; operates financial calculator, personal computer, along with effective use of various computer applications such as word processing, spreadsheets and Bank related software; must possess good telephone and verbal skills.Occasional travel may be required for training or other business related functions. Duties and Responsibilities: Provides advice and counsel on personnel issuesAssists with administration of Personnel Policies and recommends changesPrepares, recommends and maintains records and procedures for controlling personnel transactions and reporting personnel dataProcess PayrollMaintain payroll information by collecting, calculating and entering dataResolve payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing informationPrepare reports by compiling summaries of various dataMaintains Confidentiality and Privacy and maintains an environment of security and trustAssists with benefit enrollment and organizes/performs benefit enrollment meetings with our team membersCoordinate and schedule periodic information sessions for 401K and AFLAC for new and existing employeesAssists with communication of benefits information to employeesAssists with preparation of Performance Review forms and directing the distribution of the forms to supervisory personnel to ensure proper & timely completionAssists with Employee Relations and Employee Recognition programsProcesses all new hire paperwork and planning and coordination of orientationProvides public information such as verifying employmentAdvises management of any employee relations issuesMonitors vacation/sick timeAssists with processing requests for leaves of absence, sick leave; FMLAAttend training as necessaryAbility to work with all department managersPerform various HR duties as assignedCOMPLIANCE All associates have a responsibility to understand the Bank’s BSA/AML Program, the procedures outlined in it, and to follow the Program and procedures in carrying out their duties. When an associate has supervisory responsibilities, he or she will make certain that his/her staff understands the responsibilities to comply with applicable regulatory issues and internal programs, policies and procedures.
