Job Description : JOB TITLE: Human Resources ManagerGriffin Pavement Striping, LLC, located in Columbus, Ohio and established in 1977. We are a pavement marking company and serve an ever-growing number of cities, counties, and contractors installing the lines on roadways and airports. The individual in this role will collaborate with and support the company leadership in performing HR duties. This is a new position created within our growing company, so we are looking for a leader who wants to make a difference. We offer an excellent benefit package including health, dental, vision and life insurance, health savings account, and 401(k).PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for the daily management of HR activities, primarily managing the administration of company programs, policies and procedures.Manage the staffing process, including recruitment, applicant screening, interviewing – scheduling, participation and directing the recruiting and hiring process, and partnering with managers in all hiring activities.Manage and administer all pre employment processes and paperwork, including MVRs, drug screening, license verification, and reference checks.Manage and maintain all HR related documents and records, including Company handbook and related policies, making needed recommendations when necessary.Ensure the organization’s compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, licenses and certifications.Administers various employee benefits programs including group medical/vision, dental, life and supplemental insurances. Serve as the point-of-contact for benefits open enrollment and benefits related questions.Manage liability insurance claims as well as any work-related injury documentation to Workers Compensation third party administrator, track injuries and OSHA 300 logs and postings. Work in conjunction with Leadership.Administer company random drug testing policies and procedures.Maintain and manage all HR audit requests, including EEO and DOL processes.Administer company response to Unemployment claims by managing document flow and agency requests.Develops and coordinates the organizational environmental, health, and safety plans and processes.Maintain all current and past employee driver qualification files.Responsible for all aspects of company claims management including workers’ compensation, auto, and general liability claims. Participate in claims reviews and provide corporate with monthly incident reports.Maintains all site required documentation related to safety, health, and environmental programs (i.e., incident reports, inspection reports, corrective action logs, training records, OSHA 300 report, etc.).Collaborates with management to develop emergency action plans and serve as primary contact for project site injury and incident notification, investigation, and case management.Ensure compliance and employee training for project specific safety plans.Coordinate, plan and host various events including employee recognition, service awards and company gatherings such as the holiday party.QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
