Your Role and Responsibilities

The IT Support Specialist is responsible for performing analytical, technical, and administrative work in the installation of new and support of existing computer systems and workstations; troubleshoots and resolves issues with computer systems and peripheral equipment located throughout the organization in response to user reported incidents; trains end users in the use of equipment and software; performs general IT maintenance tasks.
Essential Functions:
Customer Support: Provides professional, courteous, and quality systems support to all users in a timely manner. Responds to inbound calls, voicemail, web-submissions, emails and/or instant message to the Support Service Desk for assistance from users experiencing problems. Consults with users to identify needs and requirements.
System Support/Administration: Performs Windows system administrative support which includes adding and removing users, installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining hardware and software, monitoring system and network activity, and assisting with user desktop issues on a daily basis. Provides problem determination/resolution based upon personal experience and standard operating procedures, including immediate resolution where possible.
Departmental Support: Evaluate business needs, objectives, and goals; researching products available and designating procedures to best meet those needs while not negatively impacting current architecture & applications. Develop documentation to support the use of hardware, software, and telecommunication products. May participate in and provide information for the strategic planning process and development of effective processes and procedures at the departmental level. Works independently or as a member of a team in a variety of roles from providing assistance to assuming task leadership.
IT Department inventory: Responsible for maintaining accurate inventory controls; monitoring and sustaining inventory to ensure product availability at all locations. Support the documentation of IT equipment; update inventory records to maintain accuracy and requesting additional equipment through procurement process; providing justification when required.
Other duties and projects as may be assigned or requested.

If you are hired into a Colorado work location, the anticipated compensation range for the position is $56,000 min to $87,000 max is based on a full-time schedule. Your ultimate compensation may vary depending on your job-related skills and experience. For part time roles, the compensation will be adjusted appropriately.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

4 years minimum experience supporting Windows OS desktops & laptops in an enterprise.
1 year minimum Apple products (iPad, MacBook) support in an enterprise.
1 year minimum supporting smartphones (IOS, Android) in an enterprise.
4 years software application support via remote assist and/or desk side. This includes client operating systems (Windows 7; 10; Server 2003-2016; IOS; OS X), MS Office suite 2010-2016; Active Directory; Exchange, O365; Backup and Recovery; Virus utilities; VPN; performance monitoring; etc.
3 years minimum experience in a customer service/call center environment, and/or helpdesk.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

Must have strong networking troubleshooting skills.
Must have strong interpersonal skills in order to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and be courteous and efficient when handling and resolving issues.
Must be self-motivated and flexible to accommodate changes in Promontory’s business strategies.
Must maintain a high level of professionalism and professional appearance at all times
Individuals may need to sit or stand as needed, may require walking primarily on a level surface, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
