Job Description : What is the opportunity?
RBC Capital Markets (CM) is seeking a Manager, Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) to help advance the global strategy and associated priorities of the D&I Office. This position will report to the Capital Markets Managing Director and Global Head of Diversity and Inclusion (D&I), work closely with business and functional leaders, and partner with other stakeholders across multiple departments. The ideal candidate can assume the position as soon as possible. The role will engage the RBC Capital Markets business, functional partners and key stakeholders to deliver results in support of global D&I strategic objectives. Responsible for supporting D&I office operations, processes, and initiatives.
What will you do?
Drive execution on initiatives to encourage a more inclusive culture
Develop and maintain relationships with our Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) to provide leadership to increase their impact
Partner with Marketing and Communications functions to develop engaging messaging around the D&I strategy to position RBC CM in the marketplace
Ensure that internet and intranet sites are populated with accurate, relevant, and compelling diversity and inclusion content and resources
Manage reporting of milestones, metrics, and KPIs showing progress against our D&I priorities
Drive and coordinate responses to RFPs and other surveys requesting diversity data
Assist in tracking and reporting of the D&I budget
Provide project management support and coordinate with action owners to ensure initiatives have clear objectives, delivery timelines, and resources
Partner with functional leads and other stakeholders to ensure completion of deliverables, on time and within budget
Develop and manage various projects and initiatives including the D&I Awards and other recognition programs
Conduct D&I-oriented research as needed
Represent CM internally on various steering and joint action committees
What do you need to succeed?
Must Have
University degree or equivalent experience
Able to lead projects, setting goals and objectives for cross-functional team and driving integration among multiple partners and functions
High level of interpersonal skills and integrity; ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
Able to achieve results quickly in a fast-paced organization; thrives in a high intensity environment with multiple and competing priorities
Professional demeanor and embraces a collaborative team environment; solid team player
Outstanding communication, presentation and negotiation skills; clear ability to present to all levels of the organization.
Ability to distill ideas and key concepts and communicate them effectively to all levels of the organization
Ability to make decisions on the basis of available information, even if that is not the whole picture; can adapt to change and can cope with uncertainty and risk
Unquestionable business and personal integrity and values congruent with those of the organization
Passionate about promoting diversity and inclusion culture across Capital Markets
Nice To Have
Self-starter with a growth mindset and a demonstrated ability to think outside the box to solve problems
Current or prior experience supporting Capital Markets or a front office revenue generating business
Strong Microsoft Office skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint)
Excellent written and verbal communication, and presentation skills
