Job Description : ****Please do not apply if you are seeking remote, part-time, or freelance work****Job Description: We are a growing Colorado based medical billing company that specializes in institutional (UB04) billing for dialysis facilities. We are also a healthcare software developer for an EHR package that resells and supports other software packages designed specifically for dialysis facilities.We are searching for an ambitious medical billing professional to join our team as a Dialysis Medical Billing & Collections Supervisor working within a team atmosphere. Rather than focusing on data entry and tedious practices, this person will be an integral part of daily billing and collection activities and internal operational support functions. The Medical Billing & Collections Supervisor will work hand in hand with the experienced Medical Billing Manager.The full-time Dialysis Medical Billing & Collections Supervisor assumes daily responsibilities to support internal billing staff and Medical Billing Manager while being a team player who is willing to learn and grow within our health services team. Our exciting work environment requires self-directed, hands-on, free-thinking, intelligent and highly motivated individuals who exercise excellent judgment in leadership and problem solving.Responsibilities and Qualifications: · Maintaining a level of knowledge on Medicare rules and regulations relating to billing procedures.· Maintaining Medicare billing compliance issues and assessing associated risk.· Maintaining current facility billing policies and procedures for accuracy, timeliness and subsequent collection efforts.· Understanding insurance contracting and maintain timely filing issues for private, Medicare and Medicaid patient related charges, and review rebilling and subsequent follow-up collection procedures on denials and appeals.· Inspecting billing EOBs for lost charges and associated insurance payment remittance advice for incorrect or non-payment of covered services.· Support department manager on special projects· Support external customers on software support issues in the absence of the Department Manager· Account maintenance & research, claim follow up, check various websites for status of accounts, write appeals, Medicare, Medicaid and commercial collections, payment posting, voids, refunds and adjustments· Monitor reports and aging on a weekly basis, update all billing staff and clients on any changes, communication between facilities, and facilitate bi-weekly aging meetings· Assist in maintaining and updating GE databases to meet standards of Gaia and customer requests· Assist Department Manager on training new employees, retraining existing employees· Identifying and solving billing issues with the internal billing staff· Monitor and report on the status and progress of work, checking on work in progress and reviewing completed work· Cross-coverage in the Insurance verification department· Cross-coverage for the billing lead and collections departmentRequired Experience: · Knowledge of UB04 claim forms, patient admissions and collection activities are key.· A strong background using various computer software applications and familiarity with 837 electronic data filing and 835 electronic posting will be vital.· Strong collection, organizational, written and verbal skills are a must.· Must have at least 5 years of a supervisory role and billing/collections backgroundIntegral to these basic tasks is results driven follow through.
