Job Description : Revised: March 16, 2022Position Title: Director, MLS & TechFLSA Status: Full-time, ExemptReports To: CEOPrimary Purpose: Responsible for the REALTORS® Association of Maui’s (RAM) Multiple Listing Service (MLS) system and all related technologies. This position develops and monitors efficiencies in the MLS system and identifies, introduces, tests and monitors ancillary technologies that work to enhance the MLS and its services toRAM members. The Director has a comprehensive understanding of the industry, now and into the future, with a focus on data integrity. The Director is responsible, in collaboration with other team members, to implement educational offerings on the use of MLS and related products. The Director works with the MLS and Technology Committee to provide leadership and guidance. The Director works with members to resolve MLS issues and provide technical assistance.This position is part of the MLS Team and is responsible for delivering an outstanding member experience. The team will collectively support the needs of members in relation to MLS services and data, and MLS ancillary technologies.Duties and Responsibilities: Administers and directs the activities and operations of the Multiple Listing Service of theAssociation, consistent with the policy and procedures as directed by the Board of Directors,MLS Rules and Regulations and the Bylaws.Ensures full compliance with the MLS Policy Standards, Rules & Regulations, and Data Dictionary requirements.Works directly with the MLS vendor to resolve member and system issues.Works with third party vendors on new and existing products and services based on membership input and feedback.Manages copyright procedure for the MLS system.Works with the CEO to assist in preparation of the RAM budget as it pertains to the MLS.Provides answers to MLS subscribers/participants by identifying problems; researching answers; guiding subscribers/participants through corrective steps.Processes complaints related to MLS Rules & Regulations violations.Provides, in collaboration with the team, MLS training for MLS subscribers/participants.Serve as liaison to the MLS & Tech Committee; Prepares meeting agendas, attends all MLS &Tech Committee Meetings and records the meeting minutes.Performs other related duties as assigned.Background Requirements / Other Characteristics of the Position: Post-secondary education required.Strategic thinking and development critical.Familiarity with MLS in general and Paragon specifically is preferred.Real estate industry experience is a plus.Real estate licensee must be inactive status.Prior IT or database experience is a must.Must have a high level of computer literacy and the ability to learn new computer software quickly; Strong computer and technical skills.Excellent customer service, written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work with limited supervision; self-motivated.Excellent organizational and time management skills.Have the ability to work as a team player and function within a small office environment.Professionalism.Able to remain calm under pressure.Benefits RAM offers an excellent benefit package including health and dental coverage; life and long-term disability insurance; a 401(k) retirement plan; PTO and holiday pay. Salary starts at $68,500.
