Custom Made Meals is a Food manufacturing facility in Denver Colorado with 400 associates. We are the team behind the scenes of America’s home kitchens, producing 15,000 cases of fresh product every day from kebabs to stuffed jalapenos that we deliver to top retail stores across the county. We’re on a mission to put the love back in mealtime and are currently strengthening our team to meet the continual growth of our business. We are looking for additional leaders who can help guide our growth strategy and develop our teams.
Position Overview
Oversee the day to day operations for a defined team(s) within operations, carry through strategic vision, direction and business performance for CMM. This includes achievement of key operational metrics. Meet standards to achieve and maintain customer satisfaction. Oversee the retention and development of the defined operations team(s).Develop and implement operating policies and procedures across multiple departments. Manage the internal audit process to ensure compliance with organizational standards. Implement world class processes and systems that significantly improve business operations. Assure that facility is maintained in a safe and comfortable manner that follows the Safe Quality Food processes.
Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountability
Drives innovative and integrated operations initiatives in partnership with the CMM Management and other members of the CMM team.
Supervises, directs and coordinates activities of specific operations teams involved in the food manufacturing of CMM Products.
Directs the day to day plant operations for food production and its various components, ensuring compliance with all
company, local, state and federal policies and regulations.
Coordinates plant activities through planning to ensure production goals are accomplished in a timely and cost effective
manner.
Change agent to evaluate and lead operational improvement initiatives including defining and implement core processes so CMM can accelerate growth and maximizes efficiencies. Advocates business operating principles.
Achieves operations results according to the company’s overall business and strategic plans (Sales, EBITDA and Cash Flow targets) along with established KPI’s. Drives innovative and integrated operations initiatives in partnership with the business president and other members of the senior management team.
Focuses on process and operational consistency to reduce cost and improve performance. Ensures operations processes and policies are communicated and adhered to.
Improve and create strong infrastructure and protocols so that communication and workflow between individuals and departments are seamless.
Ensure all teams schedules are built and posted weekly to the forecasted hours and ensures hours worked are within budget.
Ensures a safe and clean work environment following all company implemented safety standards.
Follows plans to ensure CMM production team is consistently staffed with top talent. Builds a strong internal partnership to meet staffing needs.
Regularly monitors performance to identify and respond to deficiencies that impact customer service, satisfaction and quality. Actively develops top performers and utilizes established performance management guidelines to address performance issues.
Train and coach associates engaged in CMM operations for future career advancement. In addition, ensure associates are trained and adhering to all department and company policies.
Assists in development of training materials, data sets to support department functions. Trains new and existing associates on proper processes and procedures.
Perform work procedures using Good Manufacturing Practices and HACCP to ensure food safety.
Adheres to all safe quality food (SQF) requirements and standards in CMM. Including the proper handling of all produce according to SQF standards.
Performs other duties as assigned.
. Requirements:

Education
Typically requires a BS/BA in a related discipline. 5- 10 years of Production Leadership experience including proven strategic acumen, change management and process improvement
Food Manufacturing Industry expertise in proteins
Preferred Qualifications
Highly motivated, hands-on, results driven, forward thinking professional who can thrive in a team-oriented environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary. Bi-lingual (reading, writing and speaking) English and Spanish
Able to work under pressure in a very fast paced environment
Work Hours
Must be able to work on a rotating schedule including weekends (days and / or nights).
Environment / Physical Job Requirements
Located in a refrigerated production facility environment. Must be able to work in a cold cooler environment (36 degrees and below). Minimal time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. Must be able to stand for periods of time, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull, squat, turn body and walk. Required to lift to 30 lbs.
Compensation / Benefits
We offer a competitive salary based on experience. This is an exempt position with a range of up to $165,000 a year with the opportunity to increase pay based on performance along with an annual bonus. We offer Medical, Dental, Vision, Flex Spending Accounts, 401K with a match up to 4%, and paid time off.
