Position : Quality Technician (QA / QC) – 1st/2nd/3rd shift
Job Description : Excellent Pay and Benefits: Great career-pathingHealth insurance with premium contributionsDental, vision, FSA, HSA100% company paid life insurance and long-term disability401k – with employer matchPaid time off to include- vacation, sick pay, wellness time off, and 10 holidaysCompany bonusesAnd many more….POSITION SUMMARY: Monitor production processed and finished product with regards to food safety and quality, ensuring finished product meets customer specificationsDUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Ensure all products meet the customer and product requirementsKeep work areas and equipment clean always, taking swabs and testing cleanliness of equipmentObtain liquid ingredient samples from bulk containers and perform testingVerify product codes and chart recordersPerform required testing of products (raw & finished), recording product specificationsAnalyze batch samples and/or liquid ingredientsRecommend adding or subtracting of ingredientsMonitor the filler to ensure weights, chart codes, labeling, pasteurizer temps are accurate by performing hourly checksPlace packing, raw material, batches or finished product on holdREQUIRED EDUCATION, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma or GEDAbility to wear personal protective equipment (bump cap, hair net, ear plugs, beard net (if applicable), Kevlar gloves, safety glasses and leather skid resistant work shoes/boots)Ability to apply intermediate computer and communication skills, math functions, and reasoningAbility to use tools/gauges (refractometer, salt titrator, acid titrator, PH meter, color meter, moisture meter, consitometer)Ensure all equipment is set up, calibrated and functioning properly throughout shiftPrevious experience in quality control, preferredWORKING CONDITIONS: Traditional manufacturing environment; with exposure to:Loud noises;Long periods of standing and or moving;Hot and or cold conditions;Wet and or dry conditions;Working around moving mechanical parts/conveyors;Lifting/carrying < 50 pounds;Frequent reaching/pulling/climbing stairs/stooping/kneeling/bending;Potentially working with caustic chemicalsOur Employee Value Proposition“Our purpose and our promise, nourish at every touch point, starts with our employees.
