Position : R&D Formulation Scientist
Job Description : Main responsibility will be to handle the formulation functions to support new product development as well as conducting experimental studies intended to support or resolve technical issues.Responsibilities and Duties: Support Formulation Development on R&D projects from conception to commercialization.Conduct Active/Excipient compatibility studies on new formulations to assist the formulation group in streamlining the formulation.Conduct Disintegration testing (Single point and Profile study) on Tablets, Capsules and Suspensions.Documentation and review of Analytical R&D Data.Executes experimental studies intended to provide supporting data or to resolve technical issues encountered during each project. Defines technical objectives and conveys them to other members of the team.Resolves technical issues, makes recommendations for options that would resolve issues, including a preferred option.Complete technical activities, development reports and regulatory support documentationEducation: Bachelors in ScienceExperience: Minimum 2-3 years of applicable product development experience required. Familiarity with batch processing in a cGMP environment in Pharmaceuticals, Nutritionals, Dietary Supplements, Cosmetics and/or Medical DevicesKnowledge, Skills and Abilities: *Strong attention to detailMust acquire knowledge of cGMP, FDA regulations, SOP, and Batch RecordsAbility to operate basic computer software, e.g. Word, Outlook, Power Point and ExcelWork Flexible hours as required by ManagementWork independently as well as in team environments, in a fast-paced environmentMust have good interpersonal and communication skills in English, understand both oral and written instructions and be detail orientedAbility to lift up to 25 lbs.Must be punctual and have good attendanceJob Type: Full-timePay: From $55,000.00 per yearBenefits:Dental insuranceHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offVision insuranceSchedule:8 hour shiftDay shiftMonday to FridayEducation:Bachelor’s (Preferred)Experience:Product development: 2 years (Preferred)Nutraceuticals Industry: 1 year (Preferred)Work Location: One location
