Position : Residential Data Specialist
Job Description : The Data Assistant will be hired and directly supervised by the Operations Manager/Director of Residential Services. The Data Specialist Assistant’s primary responsibilities include: Generating or maintaining department data bases and tracking systems, ongoing data entry and upkeep of data systems, and preparing reports. In addition, the Data Specialist will provide clerical supports, coordinate document request and provide training as necessary. Flexibility in work schedule may be required.
Essential Job Functions:
Attends work on a regular and predictable schedule in accordance with agency leave policy and performs other duties as assigned.
Assist with generating or maintaining department data bases and tracking tools, assisting prepare reports and department data collection.
Ensures the satisfactory completion of paperwork in program related areas in order to meet applicable standards and procedures.
Overseeing and/or providing support for document request.
Assists with scheduling training for department staff to facilitate optimal client treatment and training.
Assists to coordinate the operational flow with human resource and legal paperwork processes and procedures.
Assists facility in reviewing, maintaining, and writing residential policies and procedures.
Assists with covering Director Office desk in the absence of Director Administrative Assistant.
Assist in Administrative on Duty rotations. This may include weekend rotations and working outside of normal scheduled business hours.
Other duties as assigned include but are not limited to actively participating and/or serving in a supporting role to meet the agency’s obligations for disaster response and/or recovery or Continuity of Operations (COOP) activation. Such participation may require an alternate shift pattern assignment and/or location.
Knowledge Skills Abilities:
Knowledge and skills in scheduling, data trending, or data analysis.
Ability to train staff in computer skills and basic computations.
Ability in written and oral communications.
Ability to assist in development of schedules, data bases, or data spreadsheets. Ability to maintain and generate reports on residential staffing and position numbers. Ability to input and maintain information into spreadsheets.
Ability to develop and maintain data collection systems for 24-hour residential care.
Ability to handle and safeguard sensitive and confidential information
Ability to utilize personal computers and relevant software.
General knowledge of ICF-IID regulations and State Supported Living Center policies and procedures is preferred.
Some college course work in human resources, behavioral sciences, education, or related areas is preferred.
Proven ability to work cooperatively and effectively with others.
Demonstrated commitment to facility mission and service/workplace values.

Initial Selection Criteria:
Some college course work in human resources, behavioral sciences, education, or related areas and/or experience working in human services is preferred.
Experience with the development of schedules, data bases, and data spreadsheets
Experience with working as a member of a dynamic team.
Additional Information:
Salary Note: The salary offered will follow HHS starting salary guidelines which are typically made at or near the minimum of the salary range.

All State Supported Living Center employees are subject to Random drug testing.
Flexibility in work hours may be required for this position. The position may be required to work overtime and/or extended hours.
