Responsible for conducting investigations to minimize loss exposure to Cox Automotive by investigating all criminal acts against Cox including but not limited to vehicle theft, key fob, damage to property, fraud, violence in the workplace, burglary and other intentional criminal or similar acts.
Job Responsibilities (Major responsibilities of the job):
Plans, organizes, and conducts investigations related to both internal and external security issues, including but not limited to, theft of telecommunication services, i.e. vehicle theft, key fob, damage to property, fraud, violence in the workplace, burglary and other intentional criminal or similar acts, and assaults against Cox employees. Testifies in court or administrative hearings as required.
Reviews investigative progress with leader to assess priorities and objectives.
Establishes connections between suspects and other violators by linking evidence uncovered from various sources.
Interviews employees and vendors, obtains admissions, and documents investigation with evidence so that criminal and/or civil procedures are facilitated.
Collaborates with all company stakeholders including but not limited to Human Resources, legal, operations, etc.
Maintains a liaison with local, state, federal law enforcement agencies in order to achieve maximum results and business support.
Prepares clear, comprehensive and cohesive investigative reports and statistical data in a timely manner.
Testifies in courts and administrative hearings on investigation results.
Participates in and/or responds to actual business crisis, interruptions, or disasters.
Presents training programs for employees, contractors, and temporary employees on a plethora of security related topics, to include but not limited to personal security, robbery, information security, due diligence, workplace violence, building access control, etc.
Utilizes Cox incident management system to track investigations.
Completes various customer audits and reporting, including skip tracing.
Provides weekly and monthly metrics to leader for reporting.
Performs investigation analytics providing trends on thefts of Cox property and customer victim and related criminal cases.
Maintains an ethical standard beyond reproach and adopts a sense of personal responsibility for the investigative duties.
Builds and maintains positive liaisons with both internal enterprise departments and governmental agencies.
Attends Security / Investigation conferences and meetings appropriate for this position.
Position must be able to travel with short notice
May require availability above and beyond normal business hours
Works collaboratively with and is mentored by leadership team
Supports physical security and operational needs as directed
This is a safety sensitive role. The term “safety-sensitive positions” refers to those positions that, if performed improperly or without sufficient focus, could result in a fatality or severe bodily injury to an individual or significant property damage. This includes, but is not limited to, positions with any of the following job duties:
Operating motor vehicles, other vehicles, heavy equipment, machinery or power tools;
Repairing, maintaining, or monitoring motor vehicles, other vehicles, heavy equipment, machinery, or power tools;
Working in the vicinity of moving motor vehicles or other vehicles, or near heavy equipment, machinery, or power tools that are in use;
Working with or near hazardous , volatile, or flammable materials.Ideally this person will sit in Colorado but open to other locations (listed) as well.
Compensation:
Compensation includes a base salary of $68,000 – 85,000. Salary may vary outside of the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidates experience.
Position is eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program.
Qualifications:
Minimum
5-7 or more years of experience required in related field (i.e. Fraud, Theft, Security, Business, etc.)
Proven interview skills appropriate to private industry.
Must be able to write reports, business correspondence and policy/procedure manuals in a clear and concise manner. Must be adept at using Microsoft products to include Word, PowerPoint, Excel spreadsheets, etc.
Must have proven experience of effectively compiling, developing, and presenting information and responding to questions from employees, clients, customers and the general public.
This position requires leadership, teamwork, adaptability, and problem solving skills.
Preferred
A bachelors degree in an area of study relevant to this position and at least 10 years of experience with a major law enforcement, intelligence, public or private sector security organization.
Ability to effectively present information to senior management, attorneys, judges and federal, state, local enforcement authorities. Corporate Security experience is a plus.
Security Clearance eligible
Experience in incident management and business continuity is preferred
Experience in auto theft field desired
Certification or accreditation from a Risk or Security Management Association or governing body
