Position : Security Officer / Full-Time / Rotating Shifts
Job Description : As a hospital security officer, you protect staff, patients, and visitors and ensure that all hospital property is secure. Your duties are to patrol the building and its grounds, monitor all activity in and out of the hospital through patrolling and monitoring the surveillance system, and endeavor to prevent vandalism, theft, fire, and disturbances within the facility. Additional duties include but are not limited to coordinating health screenings for all patients and visitors who enter the building, inspecting fire extinguishers and conducting fire drills for the facility and the offsite locations, conducting child abduction drills, controlling access during non-regular business hours, generating & providing hospital ID’s to employees, visitors and contractors as needed, enforce parking as needed, interact with local, state and federal law enforcement agencies, interact with the local fire department, respond to emergency calls for assistance to control disorderly or combative patients, provide protective escorts for employees and visitors to vehicles, and promote and an environment of teamwork and collaboration. All events will be thoroughly and accurately detailed in written reports that may be used in the court systems at a later date.
