We are seeking candidates for our challenging and rewarding Steel Transmission Foreman position . We are proud to be an NCCER accredited business.This position will require you to be away from home for 2-4 weeks at a time.ResponsibilitiesLead and develop a small crew of 3 to 5 people in the safe and timely completion of field fabrication and installation of structural assembliesExcavate and inspect steel tower and pole structuresOperate machinery such as skid steer, backhoe, and loaderPerform MIG, TIG, ARC weldingPerform concrete-related operations including reinforcement placement, forming, pouring, finishingQualificationsIdeal candidates will possess a welding certification and have experience in welding, light fabrication, assembly, and concrete structural repairs. Experience with operating a skid steer, backhoe, and front-end loader is a plus! Other types of experience we are looking for:Must be at least 21 years old and have a high school diploma or GED.Possess a valid driver’s license.Willing to travel locally, statewide, or within a multi-state radius on a regular basis and enjoy working outdoors in all types of weather conditions.Must possess strong map-reading, GPS, and computer skills.Capable of reading and interpreting structural drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine the scope of work, specifically the locations, quantities, and sizes of materials required.Ability to modify pre-fabricated steel members while in the field.Familiarity with shop machinery and/or hand tools used to perform various tasks.Ability to problem solve using mathematical methods including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and fractions.Possess leadership qualities to effectively supervise and motivate a working field crew.Assume full responsibility for the safe operation and maintenance of a company vehicle, equipment, and tools.Physically capable of doing a lot of standing, walking, bending, squatting, and lifting 50 lbs. on a regular basis and occasionally 100 lbs.Ability to pass background check and drug screen upon hire.BenefitsCome grow with us!
