Job Description : SUMMARYReporting to the Educational Administration, the Student Services Advisor assists in providing continuing services to enrolled students and reentry students as they proceed with their educational goals. The ideal candidate will embody the ability to work collaboratively across all levels of the institution to coordinate services and ensure delivery of high impact advising that leads to the success of all students.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES· Assist in monitoring student attendance and student academic progress.· Serve as an effective liaison between faculty and students and coordinate advising activities with the goal of successful achievement of course competencies for every student.· Maintain a thorough knowledge of the school catalog, course offerings, schedules, and company policies and best practices.· Facilitate and complete forms and student documentation.· Develop and oversee campus activities to foster the development of student community to include orientation and College Success Skills courses facilitation.· Perform other responsibilities as assigned.Required Education and Experience· Minimum of 3 years experience in the Medical field in capacity of Medical Assistant, Supervisor, RN, etc…· Currently nationally certified or ability to become nationally certified as a Medical Assistant.Preferred Education and Experience · Strong business professional oral and written communication skills.· Knowledgeable and skilled in the art of human dynamics and cultural diversities that make-up a campus.· Ability to interact appropriately and effectively with students, faculty and staff.· Strong telephone communications skills.· Enthusiasm and forethought to complete differing tasks required for student success.· Technology skills to include, heavy use of Microsoft Office programs Excel, Word, Outlook, and student records database software.· The ability to move fast through change and development situations that ensure every student counts.· Demonstrated excellent planning, attention to details and organizational skills.· Time management skills, timeliness of reports and communications.· Ability to multi-task and provide exemplary customer service along with a professional demeanor and a positive attitude.· Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.· Team-oriented and skilled in working within a collaborative environment.· Ability to plan, organize, and implement assigned responsibilities and to work well under pressure to meet established deadlines.Job Type: Full-timePay: $20.00 – $21.00 per hourBenefits:Paid time offSchedule:8 hour shiftCOVID-19 considerations:ACC has a stringent mitigation plan in place on campus to ensure safety and best practices for students, staff and clients.Ability to commute/relocate:Anchorage, AK 99507: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)Education:High school or equivalent (Preferred)Experience:In-field; work and/or instructional: 3 years (Required)License/Certification:Certified Medical Assistant (Preferred)Work Location: One location
