Job Description : TRIM STAFFSonoran Roots is looking for motivated and reliable individuals to join our team in the role of Trim Staff. This is a full-time position, regularly scheduled for forty (40) hours per week, Monday – Friday, with both morning and evening shifts available.If you are interested in working at Arizona’s premiere locally-owned and operated cannabis company, please attach your resume along with a short description of why you are interested in joining the Sonoran Roots team.JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES – TRIM STAFF: Process marijuana plants (trim buds, break down plants, separate trim material by grade, prepare fresh frozen material for extraction, etc.).Trim a minimum of 1 pound (454 grams) per shift.Maintain equipment and trim station in clean and orderly fashion at all times (scissors, trim bins, tables, etc.).Assist in related work such as inventory, product preparation, sanitary practices, waste protocols, cleaning of tools and facility, etc.Learn and uphold product quality standards.Understand, abide by, and enforce AZ Department of Health Services (“AZDHS”) rules, regulations and compliance standards.Wear and maintain appropriate personal protective equipment at all times.Complete daily checklists of tasks with efficiency and precision.Assist in maintaining a safe, clean and professional working environment.Safely and compliantly move cannabis products throughout the facility.Ability to perform repetitive tasks with precision and attention to detail.Keep up with a fast paced and high energy environment. We work hard, but we have fun while doing it!PAY AND BENEFITS: $15.00/hour starting base pay.Eligibility for performance based-pay incentives beginning after 30 days of full-time employment (reviewed every 3 months).The more you trim, the more you earn, up to $20.00/hour (average = $17.00/hour)Base pay scale increases each year you are with the company.Additionally, all full-time Sonoran Roots employees receive:Company-paid health insurance.Annual performance and pay review.Year-end bonus for every employee.Catered lunch at least once per week at every facility.Monthly rewards points for free products at Ponderosa Dispensary, so you can sample what you are helping to produce.Employee discount (25%) at Ponderosa Dispensary.Two weeks paid time off per year (increases each year).Free tickets to the Sonoran Roots Suite at the Footprint Center, home to the Suns, Mercury, Rattlers, and tons of concerts, fights, and other fun events. (conditions apply)This is the BEST cannabis company to work for in Arizona!MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (Required): Must be 21+ years old.Ability to obtain and maintain an AZDHS Facility Agent Card.Ability to stay focused on tasks and meet production goals.Attention to detail and ability and willingness to follow instructions.Able to sit or stand for extended periods of time.Reliable attendance and communication – show up to work when you say you will, and do what you say you are going to do.Quick learner, and willing to be coachable and flexible with work tasks.Ability to lift 50+ pounds as needed.Criminal background check will be performed; most marijuana-related crimes will not negatively impact an application.Reliable transportation.ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS (Preferred): Experience in the cannabis industry (formal or informal).Desire for full-time employment opportunities with the company.High school diploma or GED.Cannabis-related education.ABOUT THE COMPANY: Sonoran Roots is a vertically integrated, craft cannabis company headquartered in Tempe, Arizona.
