Job Description : PPG-PMC (VersaFlex-SPI): JOB OPENING 2/17/22Warehouse Lead Hiring Duties & Responsibilities: Requirements: Proven positive work experience running a professional warehouse (must be verifiable).Able to maintain a clean, organized, and professional warehouse. Includes all inventory and all supporting documentation.Must be over the age of 18.Must have reliable transportation and support structure to ensure proper work attendance.Effective communication skills, including writing, speaking and active listening.Strong familiarity with bookkeeping, inventory control practices and logistics.Ability to work independently and safely.Exceptional time management and organization skills.Great interpersonal and team skills, including the abilities to manage goals, motivate and positively defuse conflict. Must be a team player with a sense of humor.Physically able to lift objects weighing between 50 pounds and stand periodically up to 8 hours.Hands on experience with warehouse management software and databases (SAP, Macola).Strong decision making and problem-solving skills.Responsibilities: Managing warehouse in compliance with company’s policies and vision.Overseeing receiving, warehousing, distribution, and maintenance operations.Maintain warehouse setup layout and ensure efficient space utilization and efficient operations.Acts as a “Safety Lead” and ensures that all non-safe activities or future events are prevented through immediate communication.Know, coordinate, and enforce operational policies and procedures.Adhere to all warehousing, handling, and shipping legislation requirements.Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene, and security within the warehouse.Manage stock control and reconcile with data storage systemLiaise with clients, suppliers, and transport companies.Produce inventory reports regularly as assigned.Able to receive feedback and provide thoughtful ideas towards improvements.Be pro-active and motivated towards always improving the standard.Audit and report inventory while making recommendations on which items to order and restock.Keep up to date on (and communicate) the latest federal and state safety regulations.Communicate to ensure products are shipped in a timely manner.In-depth understanding of industry and company best practices for the warehouse.Receiving and documenting merchandise for delivery or return.Keeping a daily inventory of all merchandise entering or exiting the warehouse.Identifying any missing, lost, or damaged materials and immediately notify the supervisor.Ensuring that all the merchandise is safely and securely packed and labeled for shipping.Managing all merchandise with appropriate care.Verifying the accuracy of quantity and quality of incoming deliveries.Identifying and locating the right products during the shipping and receiving processes.Handling returns by completing technical documentation and other required communication.Keeping all material handling equipment in the best condition by conducting regular maintenance.Collaborating with internal departments to locate missing packages, fix incorrect deliveries and replace damaged products.Maintaining/repairing forklift and other equipment.Office work: Answer phones, process sales orders, run credit cards.Maintain a clean and professional warehouse.Breakdown and dispose of drums, pallets, and garbage.Track all HAZMAT materials and paperwork.Produce weekly daily numbers.Experience Requirements: Candidates must have 2-5 years of experience operating heavy equipment and working in and managing a warehouse setting.Chemical manufacturing and controls – preferred.Education, Training, Certification, & Skills Requirements:HS or GED Diploma minimum. Associate degree in Business or Technical Training Certificate in logistics, supply chain management, or business administration – preferred.HAZWOPER 40hr Certification. Can be trained online if hired.Additional training and/or certification in HAZMAT controls – preferred.Current certification and strong proficiency in forklift operation.Has a current and valid driver’s license.Proficient in the English language, data entry, math, and computer skills.Knowledge and experience with power tools.Knowledge and experience with operating chemical controls warehouse machinery.Effective team communication, written and verbal skills.Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.Excellent time management and organizational skills.Ability to identify self and logistics new training and certification requirements.Salary expectations: Hourly: Rate: $20Job Type: Full-timePay: $18.00 – $20.00 per hourBenefits:Dental insuranceEmployee discountHealth insurancePaid time offSchedule:8 hour shiftDay shiftMonday to FridayCOVID-19 considerations:Full COVID-19 Vaccination is preferred but not mandatory for selection.
