Position : Associate Experiential Educator
Job Description : Role: Associate Experiential Educator
Responsibilities: Your primary responsibility will be that of a Homeroom Teacher (for a grade among Grade 1 to Grade 9) facilitating Crew, Literacy & Science using the Project-Based-Learning pedagogy. Your secondary responsibility would be to help children across grades to progress on their Individualized Learning Plans (ILPs). Responsibilities include:
Doing a deep-dive into EL Education’s unique Project-Based Learning Model
Creating a progressive curriculum and designing expeditions (based on the Project-Based-Learning pedagogy)
Developing strong one-to-one relations with students and parents
Leading professional development and classroom observations
Helping students take charge of their own learning
Documenting student progress for report card
Assigning classwork and homework as necessary, according to lesson plans
Modifying teaching styles to fit the learning styles of various students
Maintaining a well-managed classroom and positive learning environment
Conducting parent-teacher meetings and publish monthly newsletters
Additional responsibilities include:
Supervising students out of class, such as in the hallways
Participating in parent outreach / marketing initiatives
Admissions counselling
Prerequisites
Prior Experience of a minimum 2 years of teaching in a school setting is required
Excellent oral & written English
Love for learning and research
Flexible, friendly and good at establishing quick rapport with students
Ability to work in teams
Humility
Monthly Salary (CTC) Rs.20,000 – 25,000. Selection Process
