Your Role and Responsibilities
Are you a cloud architect/developer with enterprise hybrid and public cloud expertise?

As an AWS Cloud Solution Architect and a member of Ecosystem Labs, it will be your responsibility to partner jointly with other specialists, enabling the IBM AWS alliance team to drive adoption of IBM Software through the delivery of solutions, composable, patterns, and content on Amazon Web Services. This Solution Architect will work with within our Ecosystem Labs to define, design, and build architectures and integrations to help enable IBM technology on AWS. Focus areas include working with our IBM Cloud & Cognitive Software organization to help enable IBM software on AWS, ensuring Red Hat OpenShift is widely adopted in the market for AWS clients, and leveraging our hybrid cloud platform and IBM consulting offerings.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, computer engineering, or related fields at time of application.
8+ Years: Distributed application and systems architecture design and implementation.
5+ Years: Engineering and/or technology experience (e.g., technology field, Services, Consultant, Specialist Team Unit, Technical Sales, system integrators, developer, project manager, sales).
4+ Years: Enterprise IT in multiple of the following areas: Software development; Infrastructure architecture; DevOps; Content distribution; Database architecture; IP Networking; IT Security; Serverless; Containers; Linux.
3+ Years: Programming experience with one of the following languages: Java, Python, Ruby, JavaScript, C#, Go. Design and implementation Solution architecture on Public Cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP, IBM Cloud), Client presentation & Point of View development & delivery at a solution level.
2+ Years: AWS Architecture Design Consulting and/or Delivery. Validated understanding about available AWS services e.g. EC2, VPC, S3, ELB, RDS, Cloud Watch, Cloud Front, CloudFormation, Red Hat Open Shift offerings & technical architecture, IBM Hybrid Cloud Software and Capabilities.
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
Masters, or Ph.D. in business, computer science, computer engineering, or related fields at time of application.
DevOps and CI/CD principles and tools (Jenkins, DevOps, GitHub, etc.)
Architecture-Design: Cloud-native and Cloud-ready applications (API enabled, containerization)
Experience with relational and non-relational data sources including Oracle, MS SQL, DB2, Postgres SQL, Cassandra, MongoDB, AWS DynamoDB, Amazon RedShift, and Amazon Aurora
One or more of the following AWS Certifications: AWS Certified Solution Architect Associate, AWS Certified Solution Architect Professional, AWS Developer Associate, or AWS DevOps Engineering Professional, AWS Certified Advanced Networking Specialty, AWS SysOps Administrator – Associate, AWS Certified Database Specialty
One or more IBM Certifications from the following categories: IBM Certified Specialist, IBM Certified Developer, IBM Certified Solution Architect, IBM Certified Associate Architect, IBM Certified Administrator, IBM Certified Database Associate, IBM Certified Database Administrator, IBM Associate Certified DBA
