A Day in the Life of the BI Analyst
The main role of the Business Intelligence Analyst is to be part of the strategic design and maintenance of the platform. You will assist in analyzing business needs to help ensure solutions meet the customer’s objectives by combining industry best practices, product knowledge, and business awareness.
Responsibilities include:
Design, develop and maintain reporting and business intelligence solutions through the use of reporting software
Work closely with Data Engineers to troubleshoot and resolve data quality issues and maintain a high level of data accuracy in visualization and reporting using Tableau
Review current state and identify improvement opportunities and best practice recommendations
Manage data warehouse views for accuracy
Assist in troubleshooting and supporting complex pharmaceutical platforms
Qualifications of the Business Intelligence Analyst
Advanced knowledge of Snowflake
4+ years’ working with large and complex datasets
4+ years’ experience with at least one BI tool – Tableau experience preferred
Previous experience in the PBM and/or data/analytics industries required
Strong intellectual curiosity and demonstrated ability to understand and question the data
Deep analytical skills with demonstrated ability to translate data results into actionable business insights
Entrepreneurial Drive
Strong ability to interact, communicate, present and influence within multiple levels of the organization
Experience with AWS preferred
Bachelor’s degree preferred
Proven professional experience with regulatory compliance and requirements including HIPAA
