The Operations Department is responsible for the scheduling and logistics of all USA Sport Group coaching employees. Working alongside the Operations Director, our Coaching Support Team is responsible for communication with all USA Sport Group coaches while they are on the job. The team is the main point of live support for coaches, especially during weekend peak hours when more than 200 coaches are working across the tri-state area. In short, the team is similar to an internal call center that provides live technical support for its coaches so that the end result is thousands of children enjoying sports safely!
We require each member of the team to be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, be able to successfully problem solve, and efficiently liaise with multiple members of the department. Candidates that have prior experience in customer service, call center, scheduling, or dispatcher roles are encouraged to apply.
This position involves working weekend hours. There is a possibility of adding mid-week hours to the schedule, based on seasonal requirements.
Coaching Support Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
20-25hrs per week, including Friday, Saturday and/or Sunday workdays
Point of contact for coaches in real-time, mainly via phone (calls and texts)
Monitoring and responding to emails from coaches
Effectively managing unforeseen emergency circumstances
Rapid response to coach lateness and callouts in a calm and productive manner
Problem-solving on-field issues including lost coaches, where to set up, double-booked facilities, and more
Dealing with weather-related issues and on-the-day cancellations
Sending out relevant alerts, cancellations, and information to parents
Work successfully as part of a team and independently
Documenting and recording all incidents and feedback
Accurately update coaches information via online databases
To be considered for this role, you must be able to work at least one of the following shifts.
Saturday: 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM
Sunday: 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM
Flexible Contract Types Available
Part-time position
20-25 hours per week
Hours fluctuate depending upon the season
Requirement for weekend hours and possibility for additional evening hours
This position is based at our Head Office located in Whitehouse Station, NJ
Salary range $13 to $18 ph, dependent on experience
