Job Description : Position SummaryDirector, Financial Planning and Analysis responsible for the establishment of the System-wide budgetary policies and procedures and for overseeing the development of the annual budget, maintaining ongoing budgetary control and reporting and advising Administration on budget matters and concerns. The will also be responsible for submission of the Budget to Senior Management and providing information on all matters relating to budgetary formulation and execution.Duties & ResponsibilitiesPartners with JHS management and staff to provide leadership, coordination, guidance and influence to develop strategies and set strategic vision for budgetary operations system wide. Assists in identifying and building consensus for facilitation of system and process standardization, metric development and measurement and communication of key components of budgetary initiatives. Leads the development of budgetary policies and key performance indicators. Establish and monitor key performance metrics and appropriate short-term stretch goals and other collaborative tools to support JHS’ operating areas in improving overall revenue effectiveness. Facilitates a collaborative process to develop a long range plan for comprehensive and compliant budgets with optimal efficiency and accuracy, while understanding organizational complexities and priorities. Establishes a methodology for project prioritization, based on budgetary requirements that ensure strong internal controls which support and are in alignment with operational governance and compliance structure as well as regulatory compliance. Schedules, organizes, and implements the annual budget process, including the provision of guidelines and tools for departments. Provides technical assistance to departments for budget preparations and when appropriate, assists in the financial evaluation/assessment of new programs/services. Regularly reviews key revenue reports to determine positive/negative variances. Monitors and evaluates the budget to actual variance. Oversees detailed work plans to ensure high quality deliverables and adherence to timeframes and budget. Directs and coordinates JHS’ budget formulation, presentation, and execution processes. Role models behaviors of service excellence and CARE values (Compassion, Accountability, Respect and Expertise). Performs other related duties as required.EducationBachelor’s degree in related field is requiredExperienceGenerally requires 5 to 7 years of related experience.
