Job Description : We are looking for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to diagnose and treat health conditions, as well as promote good health practices. You’ll be our go-to person for ensuring the best patient care possible. As an NP/PA, you’ll have to work closely with other healthcare professionals, so you should have a team spirit and a positive attitude. Patience, problem-solving skills and communication ability are important. If you’re dedicated to advancing your knowledge and clinical expertise through research and professional discourse, we’d like to meet you. This position operates within the standards of care and scope of practice as defined by the State of Utah.Expected ScheduleDay time hours – 8:00am – 5:00pmUrgent Care shifts required (1) Weeknight, 5:00pm – 9:00pm, (1) Friday night a month, (1) Saturday a month variable shifts from 9:00am – 9:00pm.ResponsibilitiesExamine patients and their medical recordsOrder and study diagnostic tests (blood tests, X-rays etc.)Diagnose health conditions and illnessesPropose treatments for chronic and infectious diseasesPrescribe medicationsMaintain accurate records and schedulesInform patients about their health conditions and prescribed medicationsEducate patients and their family members on diseases, epidemics and preventionOversee patients’ overall healthPromote good health practicesAdvance professional knowledge and conduct researchMaintain patient confidentiality per HIPAA requirementsKeeps current on new knowledge gained from conferences, workshops, professional literature or other training and assimilates this knowledge into clinical practice.SkillsProven experience as NP/PA in a clinic, hospital, ER or other settingExpertise in primary care, acute care and chronic care practicesKnowledge of health and patient care regulationsExcellent communication skillsStrong ethicsTeam spirit with a positive attitudePatience and cool-headednessWillingness to continue gaining knowledge and clinical experienceValid Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant licenseDEA Number & State LicenseSupervision ReceivedReports directly to supervising physician and administrationSafety: Maintains a safe work environmentKnowledge of MSDS and Blood borne pathogensKnowledge of and compliance with emergency plans and OSHA.Desired Characteristics: Previous family practice experience preferredStrong verbal and written communication skills.Excellent interpersonal skills.Ability to work as a cooperative member of a teamAbility to adapt to changeWorking knowledge of anatomy, physiology and disease processes.Understand of current recognized standards of care within the scope of licensureThorough knowledge of applicable State and Federal laws and regulationsFrequent walking, standing, bending and physical assistance with appropriately positioning patients on/off exam tables.Training: In service meeting to orient, coordinate and train in regard to compliance are held.Continuing education as state requiresOn the job training provided by trainers and physiciansMust be vaccinated against COVID.Job Type: Full-timePay: From $50.00 per hourBenefits:401(k) matchingDental insuranceFlexible spending accountHealth insuranceLife insuranceMalpractice insurancePaid time offVision insuranceMedical Specialty:Primary CareUrgent CarePhysical Setting:ClinicOutpatientPrivate practiceSchedule:Monday to FridayWeekend availabilitySupplemental Pay:Bonus payEducation:Bachelor’s (Required)License/Certification:NP/PA-C License (Required)Work Location: Multiple Locations
