Position : Gameday Monitor (Seasonal)
Job Description : Major League Baseball (MLB) is currently seeking Gameday Monitors for the upcoming 2022 Minor League Baseball season.
Ideal candidates will have reliable access to a computer, tablet and/or cell phone, as well as a stable WiFi connection, to provide quality assurance of live audio and video viewership on the MiLB.TV streaming app. Duties will include and are not limited to, monitoring several games per day to assure high quality content is being viewed by our subscribers, communicating any gameday related issues immediately to the appropriate teams, and providing nightly reports to recap any issues that occurred. Please note, Gameday Monitors will work remotely and must have excellent communication skills, familiarity with streaming platforms and other related online software.
Required:
Flexible hours tied to the MiLB game schedule and must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
Available to work a minimum of 25 hours per week.
Strong understanding of computers, streaming platforms, and online web applications.
Ability to communicate virtually with our staff located in NY.
Excellent oral and written communication skills to relay any streaming related issues to the appropriate channels.
Desired:
Strong knowledge of baseball teams, players, coaches, and gameplay.
A solid computer and technical background, with experience working in digital media.
Familiarity with MLB.com, MiLB.TV, MLB.TV, and MLB At Bat.
Interest in sports and a desire to work in the sports industry.
A team player, with an enthusiastic, congenial, and committed performance as an employee.
Knowledgeable of the instant-messenger app, Slack.
