To view job posting, visit State Jobs NY at: https://statejobs.ny.gov/public/vacancyDetailsView.cfm?id=100001Minimum Qualifications: Six years of experience in domestic or gender-based violence service programs, including work in any human services, governmental, training and education, public policy or public affairs.*Substitutions: A bachelor’s degree may substitute for four years of specialized experience; a master’s degree may substitute for five years of specialized experience; a PhD may substitute for six years of specialized experience.The incumbent is responsible for the provision, reporting, evaluation, and support in development of domestic violence training and/or technical assistance to various audiences. Duties may include, but not be limited to the following:Research alternatives to traditional criminal justice approaches to accountability for survivors and their families using a lens that is intersectional and look to be innovative. Draft policies based on this research.Participate in the training of community law enforcement on survivor-centered, culturally responsive, and trauma informed services for victims of gender-based violence.Engage with culturally specific organizations and other trusted voices, in collaboration with other internal professionals, to ensure appropriate agency programming in the areas of cultural responsiveness and all forms of gender-based violence as they pertain to survivor interactions with the criminal justice system.Create new and innovative learning experiences for traditional and non-traditional stakeholders in the area of criminal justice services and reform including new curriculum and messaging.Represent the agency on relevant task forces and policy creation work groups.Provide technical assistance on the creation of policy and programming for survivor-centered, trauma informed and culturally responsive law enforcement services to victims of gender-based violence.Create model policies and protocols alongside DCJS and other relevant stakeholders for law enforcement agencies.Assist in the development of informational and outreach materials for specific stakeholders and populations.Coordinate grant applicants related to Unit programming.Prepare written reports as required by the agency and/or funding sources.Participate in cross-agency creation of policy and programming in collaboration with all agency staff.Travel may be required.Job Type: Full-timePay: $60,069.00 – $76,387.00 per yearBenefits:401(k)Dental insuranceHealth insurancePaid time offVision insuranceSchedule:8 hour shiftMonday to FridayWork Location: One location
