From seed selection through growing, harvesting, packing, shipping, and servicing customers, the company is a leader in the North American greenhouse sector.Purpose/Objective: Responsible and accountable for the day-to-day management of the Nogales operation, including all aspects of product flow, food safety, health & safety and team management.Key Job Duties: Partner with maintenance contractors to align and drive operational requirementsCreate and maintain preventative maintenance schedule for all equipmentIncrease management’s effectiveness by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, coaching, and disciplining managers; communicating values, strategies, and objectives; assigning accountabilities; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; developing incentives; developing a climate for offering information and opinions; providing educational opportunitiesParticipate in Management decision making for strategic direction of the siteCreate and implement processes leading to an efficient and effective operationsDevelop and monitor site level KPI’s, ensuring alignment with the Company’s strategic planBuild company image by collaborating with community organizations, vendors, and employees, enforcing ethical business practicesMaintain professional and technical knowledge by attending workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies. Day to day Operations Management of site, staff and contractors – 3PL team management, production/packing schedules, on-site inventory, inbound and finished goods quality controlCoordinates activities with Procurement team and 3rd Party Vendors as the first point of contact for all inbound loads from Mexico or other sites requiring services at NGLManages all discussions and actions with Sales, Inventory planning and QC to ensure schedules and decisions align with company goals, cost control and customer requirementsProvides oversight and collaborates with Longvine staff and 3PL with respect to all repack procedures, system processes and administration· Works with Assistant Controller on budget, invoicing, inventory, and all facility costs· Interaction with Logistics team/schedules – inbound/outbound· Drive 98%+ service levels to our customers – first time rightAdditionally, partner with Finance, Assistant Controller and CMO to manage costs, coordinate necessary approvals, administer internal controls, and identify opportunities for efficiencies and expense managementCollaborate with contractors and internal Safety Team to ensure H&S complianceProvides direction and support for pack line set-up and flow to ensure cost-controlled packing/repacks on a daily basis – aligns with daily/weekly pack schedule oversiteLeadership on daily NGL calls and weekly grower callsTraining and support as needed to ensure SOPs are being adhered toSkills/Knowledge: · Knowledge of USDA and adherence to customer specs– inbound, repack and outbound orders· Time management/process drivenDemonstrated Competency in AX or similar ERP SystemsProficient in MS Office: PowerPoint, Word and ExcelStrong analytical thinker, organized, decisive and able to respond to changeAbility to multi-task in a fast-paced environmentMust be self-directed, detail-oriented and the desire to solve problemsHigh level of initiative; able to work in a team environment with accountabilityDemonstrated ability to mentor and develop team membersStrong communications skills both written and verbalAble to handle after hours calls if necessaryWork Environment: General Office environment, warehouse, cooler, shipping area from unloading inbounds, through to loading outbound trucks to customer.Primary Duties: Direct Nogales team members and contractor to ensure high quality results against key KPI’s related to quality, cost control and safetyFollow organizational expectations to be proactive, and drive accountabilitySafety – meet or exceed company Health & Safety rulesAbility to operate a forklift safely and efficiently and/or electric pallet jackEnsure the product flow from unloading, through repack, storing and loading of trucks are all effectively and accurately completedAccountable for product and packaging inventory with key team members responsible for day to day SOPsWork nights and Saturdays with occasional Sundays as required during peak seasonOther duties as assignedRequired/ Preferred Qualifications: Bilingual English/ Spanish both oral and written required.· Ideal candidate will have 5+ years as fresh GM/ warehouse manager or supervisor.· Ability to analyze and comprehend basic math in the context of costing and product conversions· Experience following and implementing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)Job Type: Full-timePay: $80,000.00 – $90,000.00 per yearBenefits:401(k)Dental insuranceHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offVision insuranceSchedule:Monday to FridayWeekend availabilityWork Location: One location
