Job Description : We are a local construction company looking to hire a Heavy Highway Operator, someone with at least 5+ years experience with water main, sewer, and site work installation. Please do not apply if you have not worked for another construction company doing similar work. Responsibilities are, but not limited to running and operating a 308 Excavator, a 321D Excavator, and other various sized equipment. Our company expects that our Operators will help out in other areas of the work as well. We understand that running equipment is important, but there will be times where we need everyone to pitch in and get dirty also, you need to be willing to labor occasionally, and not be afraid to get in the trench or go and grab materials. We expect that our operators will have the knowledge and understanding of the procedure and materials needed to do this specific type of work, not to mention the finesse to work in tight situations. We are looking for someone who can hit the ground running and will not need a lot of training to get up to the speed of our company. We do travel to site locations, however all of our work is within a 45 min- 1 hour drive from Rochester. We do work all year round. Eligible candidates must have reliable transportation, license, High School Diploma or equivalent, and at least OSHA 10 training. CDL-A drivers license a plus. Prevailing Wage rate will be paid on all public work jobs and benefits are paid out as well. We are looking for a candidate who can work in a group setting of employees that do not beat around the bush, we work hard and know what needs to be done and expect that you will do the same.
