Position : Help Desk Technician
Job Description : PurposeTo assist with management of systems and network maintenance schedules, provide technical support to staff, perform administrative, and clerical duties for the IT department and the agency.Principal Duties & ResponsibilitiesDuties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following: Troubleshoot software and hardware failures and takes steps to remedy problem(s), refer more complex problems to Information Systems/Database Manager.Provide user and technical support for all devices (desktops, laptops, tablets, mobile phones, iPads, etc.), remote access, and email. (Windows OS, Mac OS X, iPad, iPhone, Android Tablets and Phones, hotspots, etc.)Setup, repair, and maintain workstation computers and related equipment. (Setup new users, maintain security, software, and hardware updates, etc.)Provides on-site support, equipment and technical services for staff and organization events. (Audio/Visual, Computer, Network, POS, etc.)Assist staff in resolving equipment and software problems through discussion and diagnosis.Collaborate with IT team daily and work as a team to provide support across all locations.Work with IT Support Specialist(s) to create, review and update technical how-to’s.Update Technology SharePoint as needed.Train staff on equipment and software use.Manage system’s maintenance schedules.Manage printer supplies and repair requests.Maintain cleanliness and organization of server rooms.Maintain logs for tracking all equipment.Support Software Development Engineer with basic database management.Oversee and or support volunteers for assistance as needed.Other duties as assigned.Required Education & ExperienceBA/BS degree or equivalent to appropriate 4-year college program, preferably in related field.Intermediate-Advanced skill level – Windows 10 Operating System (preferred), MacOS.Intermediate-Advanced skill level – Microsoft Office Suite – 2016/Office 365.Intermediate-Advanced understanding of computer networks (LAN, WAN, and computer networking).Demonstrate professional interpersonal skills in writing, over the phone, and in person.Minimum PrerequisitesPass Washington State DSHS criminal history and background check and FBI fingerprint checkDemonstrate skill in word processing and familiarity with MS Word, Excel and advanced Access skillsPossess valid Washington State driver’s license and valid automobile insuranceHave access to a dependable personal vehicleBe able to lift 40 pounds (average three-year-old)Pass tuberculosis testAbility to show proof of current immunizations, including COVID-19 and MMR vaccine or titer test*Kindering values diverse perspectives and life experiences.
