Job Description : Host Casanova Makawao is looking to add some talent to the team! We are currently looking to hire for the Host / Bussing position:Responsibilities include: Greet incoming and departing Guests warmly with a genuine smile and eye contact; escort them to assigned dining area; present menus; announce server’s nameUse visual cues to seat Guests in either the bar or dining area depending on their preferenceensure a smooth handoff to the service staffAnswer incoming calls to the restaurant and provide appropriate serviceManage the flow of Guests into the Dining and Bar areas, provide accurate wait times to incoming Guests if appropriateTend to special Guest needs and requestsProtect establishment and patrons by adhering to sanitation, safety and alcohol control policiesHelp dining room staff by setting and clearing tables; replenishing water; serving beveragesIssue dining charges by verifying orders; totaling bill for to-go ordersReceive payments by validating credit charges; approving checks; accepting currency; calculating and issuing change for ToGo ordersReconcile cash drawer by proving cash transactions; listing checks and credit card charges for to-go ordersContribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as neededRequirements: Must be able to read menusMust be able to articulate clear greetings and farewells to Guests, as well as being able to understand requests for assistanceMust be able to hear well in a loud environment in order to answer telephone and respond to Guest requestsMust be able to walk and stand during entire shiftMust be able to reach, bend, stoop and wipeA desire to help out where needed and work as part of a teamPassion for providing extraordinary serviceThe ability to thrive in a fast-paced environmentAn appetite for learning (and great food)Flexibility to work a variety of shiftsMust be upbeat, outgoing and positiveMust be able to assist Guests and possess great Guest relations skillsAbility to work positively in a fast-paced environmentAbility to stand/walk and stay focused and alert for extended periods of timeAbility to work effectively within a teamAbility to effectively communicate on the telephone.Host/Host top skills & proficiencies: Customer ServicePeople SkillsProfessionalismHigh EnergyMultitaskThoroughnessPlanningBasic MathTeamworkAttention to DetailVerbal CommunicationOrganizedFlexibleManagement SkillsJob Types: Full-time, Part-timePay: $15.00 – $25.00 per hourBenefits:Dental insuranceEmployee discountFlexible scheduleHealth insuranceVision insurancePhysical Setting:Upscale casual restaurantSchedule:HolidaysWeekend availabilitySupplemental Pay:TipsExperience:Restaurant Experience: 1 year (Preferred)Work Location: One location
