Position : HR Employee Relations Specialist – GREAT PAY
Job Description : The employee relations specialist will primarily focus on resolving sensitive employee concerns through both formal investigations and alternative dispute resolution methods. In addition, this position carries out a broad scope of responsibilities within HR including but not limited to backup administrative support to the Human Resources Assistant and other HR team members, benefits support, administrative support, recruiting, employment law compliance, etc. This role requires extreme attention to detail and strict adherence to confidentiality. Job Duties and Responsibilities include: • Conduct investigations as necessary and resolve other sensitive employee relations issues • Must be able to clearly and concisely communicate both verbally and in writing, investigations findings and outcomes to Vice President of HR and other key stakeholders. • Identifies recommendations that could create positive long-term solutions • Ensure that we continue to have clear, transparent processes and reporting mechanisms at the designated worksite • Provide backup support to the HR Assistant as necessary • duties may include but are not limited to collecting new hire paperwork, running background checks, enrolling employees into various benefits, etc. • Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment • Travel required to other site locations as needed • Perform other duties as assigned • Complete all required compliance training on an annual basis Skills and Competencies: • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Self-directed • Excellent communication skills in-person, over the telephone and in written format • Experience handling confidential and sensitive issues with care and discretion • Strong acumen in employee relations • Must work with a high degree of empathy, understanding and diplomacy • Relationship building • Organized and strong attention to detail • People Management • Conflict resolution Required Education and Experience: • 5+ years of handling complex employee relations issues and other human resources related experience required • ideally focused on employee relations and HR Generalist functions • Must be familiar with Florida labor laws • 2 or 4-year degree in Human Resources preferred • Proven understanding of HR practices, principles and policies • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, and other related computer applications • Knowledge of employee benefits and workers compensation preferred AppleOne is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
