Job Description : Would you like to be a part of an organization that changes people’s lives?Goodwill Industries is hiring! We are looking to for a Lead Cashier position to join our Wasilla Family.Duties include: Ensure the quality and quantity of work performed by designated cashiers is in accordance with store expectations.Train front end employees in a thorough, organized and timely manner.Assist Store Manager, Assistants and Supervisors in rating employees, as requested.Responsible, as designated, for the store’s operation in the absence of store management personnel including but not limited to directing the activities of store personnel; ensuring that all sales transactions are rung up and reported accurately.Recommend corrective action to ensure acceptable employee performance according to policy.Assist store management with implementation of assigned cash control, inventory control and security procedures.Perform opening tasks, including cleaning glass cases, cleaning counters, straightening cash register areas, and stocking the cash register area with supplies.Accurately perform all register functions.Perform register-closing duties, including accurately counting down register, counting deposits, and processing the supporting detail paperwork. Ensure register tills and deposits are properly secured.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to feel objects, tools, or controls, and reach with hands and arms; the employee is required to walk, talk and/or hear.The employee must occasionally lift 10-25 pounds and/or move up to 50 pounds.Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.If you are interested in applying please forward your resume along to this job posting or complete an application in the store located on 3838 Old Seward Hwy.
