When you need to see a provider quickly, MedRite Urgent Care is here for you.Job Responsibilities: Responsible for ensuring that the organization is at par with medical coding guidelines and policiesReview patients’ medical records, retroactively, to ensure that appropriate medical codes have been usedConsult and/or advise the organization on how to effectively translate the services a patient has received at an urgent care center into codes that insurers use to process claimsConducting proper training at every urgent care center to educate providers and other allied healthcare professionals on proper chart review techniques and continuously informing the organization of any new billing requirementsConducting proper training at every urgent care center to educate providers and other allied healthcare professionals on proper chart review techniques and continuously informing the organization of any new billing requirementsMinimum Qualifications: High school diploma, GED, or suitable equivalent.2+ years of work experience as a medical coder.American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC) certification preferred but not requiredProficient computer skills.Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.Outstanding organizational and people skills.Ability to maintain the confidentiality of information.Company BenefitsSalary $65,000 plus with experienceMedical, Dental, and Vision Insurance, 401K (with company contribution)Paid time offJob Type: Full-timePay: From $65,000.00 per yearBenefits:401(k)Dental insuranceHealth insurancePaid time offVision insuranceSchedule:Monday to FridayApplication Question(s):Do you have prior urgent care outpatient coding experience?Do you have experience managing claim denial management and processing?Experience:Medical coding: 7 years (Required)License/Certification:American Academy of Professional Coders certification (Preferred)Work Location: One location
