Job Description : We are an established Urology office and strive to offer an exceptional patient experience to our community and state.The Patient Care Specialist is the gateway to our practice. The position requires a high level of communication skills. Interactions occur daily with other physicians, patients, hospital administrators, staff and family members. Managing multiple communication channels, including email, phone, walk-in’s, and electronic medical records communications, without loss of detail or professionalism, is a must.Healthcare is not for the faint-of-heart, but it is deeply satisfying to know how much of a difference being part of our team can make in people’s lives.Responsibilities:Welcomes and warmly greets all patients and visitors, in person and over the phone.Registers new patients and updates existing patient demographics by collecting detailed patient information including appropriate forms, personal and financial information.Obtaining insurance cards, demographic information and co-pays.Helps to facilitate patient flow in office.Insurance Verifications and authorization submissions.Manages medical record transissions.Patient scheduling and follow up.Our office is comprised of forward thinking, problem solving, professional and kind individuals. We work collaboratively to assist our patients. We are reliable, mature and have an intrinsic desire to help guide our community through their quest for optimal health. Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate how they can contribute to the efforts and vision of this busy medical office. Experience is preferred and not necessary. The ability to multi-task without a loss of attention to detail is a required skill set.Schedule: This is a full-time position will a schedule that includes some weekend shifts.
