Job Description : Rocky Mountain Cancer Centers, Colorado’s largest and most comprehensive provider of cancer care has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Patient Services Coordinator in Aurora.Come join this dynamic team!ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES-Handles incoming phone calls from patients and physicians to schedule or reschedule internal diagnostic imaging appointments in computer system in accordance with physician and/or office guidelines. Cancels/reschedules appointments according to physician schedule changes; notifies appropriate clinic personnel. -Handles new patient referrals, gathers necessary information, assigns the patient account number and schedules appointment. -Documents no shows in patient’s chart for missed visits. Follows up with patient to reschedule any missed appointments. -Arranges for patients to have financial counseling as needed. -Demonstrates an understanding of patient confidentiality to protect the patient and clinic/corporation.-Follows policies and procedures to contribute to the efficiency of the front office. Covers for other front office functions as requested.POSITION REQUIREMENTSHigh School diploma or equivalent required. Position requires at least 3 year office experience, medical office preferred. Have excellent communication skills, written and verbal. Proficiency with computer systems a requirement. Microsoft (Outlook, Word, and Excel) a plus.All qualified candidates are required to pass a background check and non-federal drug test (which excludes marijuana) post offer of employment and prior to hire. Candidates must be fully vaccinated for COVID or be able to submit an exemption. Those with exemptions will be required to submit to weekly COVID testing.PHYSICAL DEMANDSThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Requires manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination for computer work. Occasionally lifting files or paper weighing up to 30 pounds.
