As FC Dallas’ Social Media Coordinator, you will be responsible for creating and executing content across digital and social media. As a team member, you will use a mix of keen understanding of multiplatform content creation to help tell the story of FC Dallas, North Texas SC, the National Soccer Hall of Fame, and other affiliated properties.
This opportunity is a chance to elevate an established brand with a team of passionate content creators. This position requires a creative strategist who can liaise throughout the organization to edit and organize multimedia content plans while meeting deadlines and maintaining flexibility daily.
What you’ll do:
Assist the Senior Social Media Coordinator in creating, editing, publishing, and sharing content across all FC Dallas-owned social channels.
Communicate with followers, respond to questions and comments in a timely fashion.
Track social conversations and identify concerns, including customer service and/or crisis issues, as they arise, and alert necessary staff as needed.
Follow social and digital trends and offer recommendations for integration.
Assist with collection, management, and publication of all event day content
Matches, training sessions, stadium events, community, or partner events.
Update content calendar as needed.
Grow the fanbase while increasing engagement on social media platforms.
Help manage digital archives and maintain public-facing elements and club photo files.
Work in conjunction with the club’s Senior Social Media Coordinator to craft creative copy across all platforms that is representative of FC Dallas’ brand.
Maintain standard of publishing high-quality content that is representative of FC Dallas brand.
Assist with data collection and tracking KPI to establish recommendations for future improvements and success.
Other duties as assigned.
You Are:
A storyteller – comfortable experimenting with social media platforms but critical enough to pivot away from non-resonant tactics.
Experienced in working in a fast-paced, breaking news environment.
Deadline-driven and can work under pressure while juggling multiple projects for multiple business verticals simultaneously.
Willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays in addition to Monday-Friday hours.
A team player who is collaborative, consultative, and communicative.
A content creator yourself who can write, edit video, and possibly shoot video, when needed.
A self-starter and proactive thinker.
A sports fan with an affinity for soccer is highly preferred.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in communications, marketing, sports media, or digital media.
1+ years of professional experience working in social media for a team, league, collegiate athletics department, entertainment, or sports content organization.
Experience in managing social media platforms for a sports or entertainment entity.
Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere and After Effects.
Excellent language skills (bilingual in Spanish and English a plus).
