Position : Technical Production Assistant; Disney Live Entertainment
Job Description : The Technical Production Assistant Disney Live Entertainment at the Disneyland Resort is responsible for working closely with the Technical Direction team to provide support in project and labor scheduling, tracking budgets and labor, creating Power Point presentations, coordinating rentals, and other duties.
Responsibilities :
The Technical Production Assistant (TPA) will report to the Principal Technical Director, but will work closely with, and provide support to, Technical Directors as assigned.
Responsibilities include:
Assisting the Technical Director throughout all project phases.
Working with the Technical Direction team to enter scheduling requests in SORT
Create event timelines and schedules
Create PowerPoint presentations and other documents when needed
Work with the Technical Director to create and track project budgets, upload vendor quotations into REQ-IT.
Work closely with buyers to ensure that POs are cut correctly, follow up with vendors through PO process and track POs through closeout to confirm that all vendors have been paid
They will also perform other scheduling and coordination works to support vehicle rentals, expense reports and tracking, and other support duties as needed.
Basic Qualifications :
Familiarity with Technical Theater or Themed Live Show Entertainment
Demonstrated knowledge and familiarity with Microsoft office programs
Ability to quickly learn new software programs currently in use at DLR
Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills
Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills
Highly motivated requiring minimal direction and follow up
Ability to be flexible with work schedule, including occasional nights, weekends, or holidays
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in Technical Theater, Themed Entertainment, or Events
Experience supporting salaried leaders
Proven knowledge and proficiency in some or all entertainment technical fields (lighting, audio, carpentry, etc)
Experience with Walt Disney company practices and programs, including SORT and REQ-IT
Required Education :
High School Diploma or equivalent
