Position : VCQ Assistant
Job Description : Summary
Assist with the planning, coordinating and directing the Value Creation Program designed to ensure continuous production of products consistent with established standards. Develop and modify company quality systems and procedures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Duties include but not limited to:
Be a role model in projecting and applying The Pacific Group Diamond Philosophy (Productivity, Quality, Excellence and Teamwork) and promote teamwork at all times.
Assist with maintaining records for Q.A. Logs and conduct or assist with Morning QC/Push List.
Work directly with warehouse supervisor and team members on rotation issues.
Work directly with receiving on quality audits of inbound product.
Conduct or assist with follow up on QA Complaint Forms from Sales or Purchasing.
Conduct or assist with processing specification audits including customer and in-house product specifications.
Back up for QA manager during absence.
Conducting, or assisting with, icing of product.
HACCP and SSOP Monitoring and Verification.
Prepare and submit reports as required.
Conduct line level problem analysis.
Perform other duties, as assigned.
Qualifications
The requirements listed below are representative of the qualifications necessary to successfully perform the job.
A. Education and Experience
Required:
Minimum of one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
Preferred:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a related field.
B. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Other Requirements
None
C. Other Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Ability to write simple correspondence.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Ability to add, subtracts, multiply, and divides in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
