Job Description : Overview:

Reports to: Chief Information Officer
Functions Supervised: Enterprise Architecture, Technology Strategic Planning
Primary Functions: Oversee technology strategic planning. Oversee a comprehensive IT budget planning program. Oversee the planning, analysis, design and implementation for major technology initiatives. Establish metrics and key performance indicators to monitor technology investments and project health. Establish a continuously improvement methodology for the IT value-chain.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage assigned personnel by recruiting and maintaining a trained staff; making employment, promotion and transfer decisions; and ensuring effective use of assigned resources.
Exercise a leadership role in collaborating with credit union management in the development of technology strategic plans to ensure that the IT infrastructure supports existing and future organizational requirements for availability, performance and reliability.
Develop long-range technology road-maps for all credit union capabilities enabled by technology and use that information to create long-range technology investments and associated staffing and budget plans.
Oversee the continuous investment in technology consistent with the credit union’s strategic direction.
Recommend standards and procedures for the design and implementation of technology, including hardware, software and telecommunications.
Perform statistical analysis of the performance and value of IT programs, systems, personnel, and projects.
Develop standards and processes for maintaining comprehensive system documentation describing the technology that supports all business processes.
Develop and maintain a continuous improvement program to optimize the IT value-chain.
Create a talent transformation program to support the career and leadership development of Information Management personnel.
Prepare and present position papers and strategy documents and provide periodic briefings to senior IT management and executives for assigned areas of responsibility.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems or related field.
Creditable Experience in Lieu of Education: Equivalent management and technology certifications.
Experience/Skills: Ten years progressive experience in Information Technology in application development and/or technical/network services; demonstrated project management, leadership, and administrative skills; strong interpersonal and communications skills. Minimum of five years in a management or supervisory role. Broad knowledge of project portfolio management and enterprise architecture. Proven track record in developing, implementing and managing enterprise technology initiatives. Working knowledge of data center, server, storage and network architecture. Prior work experience in the financial services industry preferred.
