Job Description : What will you do?GIDDY is looking for a Video Editor to join our talented Video department in Austin, TX. This role is critical to driving our video storytelling strategy and will edit inspiring stories, ads and campaigns that elevate the Giddy brand & products. This will include crafting content to be used within YouTube, social, product content and advertising. You will work closely with Video Directors and Creative Director to create compelling video content to amplify and elevate our ideas, and will demonstrate your attention to detail and problem-solving skills by creating and delivering this content under the pressure of deadlines. If you’re excited about building a content pipeline that elevates the brand — then you’re the person we want.MUST WORK WELL UNDER PRESSURE** Applications submitted without a demo reel or portfolio will NOT be considered.***MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:5+ years experience working in a post environment for a production company, agency or client-sideBachelor’s degree in a broadcast, film or related field, or equivalent experienceExpertise in Adobe CC, predominantly in Premiere, After Effects, and PhotoshopExperience creating original 2D/3D animation and knowledge of animation programs a plusExperience with commercial video creation for paid and organic platformsAn online portfolio demonstrating a creative sensibility, an ability to tell engaging stories, showcasing the technical skills to craft flawless contentConceptualize scripts and convert them to storyboardsStrong understanding of aesthetics in design, layout, typography and colorExcellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skillsESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Create and deliver assigned in-house motion graphics projects following established protocols in file management structure, project organization, and version controlAssist for Lead Editor as required in the creation, editing, and delivery of video contentMonitor and evaluate all incoming requests; manage multiple projects at various stages; proactively manage workload and deadlinesSelf-starter and ability to work under pressure without compromising performance or accuracyStrong understanding of the entire post production process: content sourcing, organization, editing, color grading, VFX, sound mixing and deliveryWhen in production, take charge of the day-to-day organization, logging, and media management of new contentStrong understanding of best practices for proper post-production workflowsAbility to consistently hit deadlines, and provide realistic timelines for video projectsUnderstanding of web and broadcast video standardsWork within existing brand guidelines, graphics, illustrations, and assets to create stunning visuals that align with our brand standards but also elevate our brand in an innovative wayMaintain a comprehensive database of graphics (lower thirds, department logos, etc.)Capable of handling and organizing multiple projects simultaneouslyRaise aesthetic levels by leveraging a strong creative eye and acute attention to detailPrior experience with directing, cinematography, and lighting is a plus.Green screen experience a plusKnowledge of AR/VR, audio recording/mixing & video production is a plus***MUST BE ABLE TO WORK IN OFFICEThis job requires reporting to the office in person.
