The selected candidate will join a forward-thinking company that puts culture and their people at the forefront of their business.Position SummaryAs part of the leadership team, the Vice President of Operations at MI Systems will be responsible for executing on the Company’s overall vision, shaping its operating strategy, and driving execution that will firmly place MIS as the leader in providing high efficiency water treatment solutions to the market. This person will develop and implement necessary processes to optimize internal efficiency, recruit world-class talent, and create the proper organizational structure to drive a high performing operations team to deliver our solutions to the market with relentless execution. This person will keep abreast of and influence supply chain, manufacturing, and QHSE trends, standards, and stakeholders which will further enhance adoption and market share of MIS’s solutions, and work in tandem with the other members of the leadership team to further define our operating strategy and deliver against it. This person will have the ability to bridge operations and technical knowledge with business acumen, will bring experience in supply chain, manufacturing and QHSE and will develop and sustain a culture of passion, hard-work, collaboration, and innovation that will make MIS the place to be for anyone interested in bringing the next generation water treatment solutions to market.ResponsibilitiesThe Vice President of Operations will lead all supply chain, manufacturing, field service, and QHSE efforts for the Company. He/she will have responsibility for directing all aspects of procurement, vendor management & logistics, current manufacturing processes and process improvements, and quality, health, safety, and environmental initiatives. The VP of Operations will lead problem identification, solution development and implementation for internal continuous improvement from cost reduction to time efficiency. A key focus of the role is to provide strong operations leadership coupled with equally effective project management skills.· Develop, direct and maintain a system to manage all manufacturing, supply chain, and QHSE processes including a rigorous review process, in order to ensure attainment of key milestones and adherence to specifications, timelines and budgets.· Lead the operations team to promote a high-performance, results-driven environment with a strict adherence to project management requirements and high attention to detail.· Formulate and implement the long-term strategy with respect to operations that advance company objectives.· Attract, develop and retain top talent for the operations function, while motivating staff to continually improve its performance. Building a culture of collaboration and personal growth that aligns with company objectives is critical.· Support identification and partner-building with third parties that support the Company in project delivery from supply chain and manufacturing to field service that can advance the Company’s competitive edge.· Oversee compliance to ensure the Company is meeting necessary QHSE standards from both regulatory and customer perspectives.· Directly responsible for establishing and managing the operating budget for the operations department.· Ensure that the operations department provides assistance to other departments as needed.· Drive internal efficiencies through processes, procedures, and innovation to reduce cost and time of company operations.· Develop and maintain field service team to service existing Company installations. Provide feedback to technology, engineering, and commercial teams for continuous improvement.RequirementsThe VP of Operations will possess strong operations knowledge and vision and have a demonstrated history of leading teams in the execution of operating strategy and rapid growth, supporting project delivery to market on time and within budget.· Bachelors or advanced degree in relevant field required. MBA is a plus.· Minimum of 15 years of experience in progressive operational leadership roles within companies that develop, manufacture and sell complex solutions. Experience in the water treatment industry is a plus.· Process improvement and project management skills are required.· Experience in establishing and scaling the operations function, with the proven ability to attract, inspire, motivate and retain top tier talent.· Proven ability to establish, articulate and implement a concrete operations strategy that clearly aligns with corporate and commercial goals.· Quality Assurance and HSE compliance experience is required.· Experience with managing distributed business partners.· Desire to roll up the sleeves and be hands-on with the team when required to achieve desired results.· Experience leading field service teams is required.· Supply chain experience is required.· Manufacturing experience and a demonstrated track record of process improvement is required.
