Job Description : Job descriptionThe Warehouse Manager is responsible for providing leadership and direction to the overall performance of the warehouse/distribution center to ensure that business operations are executed efficiently and effectively, accomplish the goals/objectives/operational metrics, and achieve excellent customer service. The Facility Manager should be experienced in building a team atmosphere and will be expected to achieve cost-efficient labor management results while leading cross-functional teams to drive the business. In addition, the Facility Manager will be responsible in executing warehouse performance objectives, tactical volume planning, continuous process improvement, and support employee relations.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: · Develop and implement strategic and tactical action plans; create and facilitate meeting agendas; and identify, implement, and monitor key business metrics to drive effective cost- effective results, and to achieve customer requirements.· Adaptation and response to a changing and diversified platform of business requirements, from simple and specific tactical execution to emergent and broad scope strategic challenges which require immediate decisions and appropriate actions.· Manage strategic, continuous improvement processes and cross-functional projects, including the measurement of progress and business impact.· Provide leadership through effective communications, coaching, training, and development.· Direct activities to support our budget requirements and work toward achieving the goals and objectives to meet business profitability and growth.· Develop and manage a system of controls to ensure that service levels and operational performance goals are met within prescribed cost, revenue, and profit parameters.· Work in collaboration with Human Resources in resolving labor issues, employee relations issues, and supporting HR programs.· Establish excellent customer relations and respond to customer requests and inquiries in a timely manner.· Establish a safe work environment and ensure compliance with company safety standards and Cal-OSHA/OSHA regulations. Manage programs for maintaining company standards of housekeeping, maintenance, security, and safety of equipment and facility in a manner that assures their most efficient operation.· Hold leadership team accountable in accomplishing the established goals and objectives, including administering performance evaluations and disciplinary processes to ensure a productive work environment.· Perform other duties as assigned.· Must have a minimum of 8 years demonstrated work history in a large, volume driven, fast-paced distribution center with in-depth knowledge of warehousing and supply chain principles and processes.· Must have proven effective leadership experience in managing mid-level managers and non-exempt employees.· Experience working in 3rd Party omnichannel environment to include shipping to wholesalers, store retail, and ecommerce fulfillment.· Experience in warehouse automation such as sortation systems, Locus Robotics is a plus.· Knowledge of warehousing management systems, preferably High Jump Korber Warehouse Advantage / Accellos.· Knowledge of retail distribution and compliance.· Must have exemplary customer service skills.· Disciplined planning and organizing skills.· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and be flexible.· Ability to perform job duties with high attention to detail and accuracy.· Excellent communication skills.· Ability to effectively handle uncertainties and must be an advocate for change.· Must be PC literate with knowledge of MS Office suite.Data Conception-Requires ability to compare and/or judge the readily observable, functional, structural, or compositional characteristics, whether like or divergent from obvious standards of data, people, or objects/things.Interpersonal Communication-Requires the ability of speaking and/or signaling people to convey or exchange information. Includes receiving assignments and/or directions from supervisor.Language Ability-Requires ability to read a variety of policy and procedure manuals, computer manuals, reference materials, etc. Requires the ability to enter data into computer and to prepare reports, correspondences, forms, records, etc. with proper format, punctuation, spelling, and grammar, using all parts of speech.Intelligence-Requires the ability to apply principles of rational systems to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists; to interpret a variety of independent judgments in the absence of supervisor; to acquire knowledge of topics related to primary occupation.Must have the ability to comprehend and interpret received information and the ability to comprehend and implement basic office machinery functions.Verbal Aptitude-Requires the ability to record and deliver information, to explain procedures, to follow oral and written instructions. Must be able to communicate effectively and efficiently with persons of varying educational and cultural backgrounds.Numerical Aptitude-Requires the ability to add and subtract totals, to multiply and divide, to determine percentages and decimals, to determine time. Must be able to use practical applications of fractions, percentages, ratio, and proportion.Motor Coordination-Requires the ability to coordinate hands and eyes rapidly and accurately in using automated office equipment and communications machinery.Interpersonal Temperament-Requires the ability to deal with people beyond giving and receiving instructions. Must be adaptable to performing under moderate to high stress when confronted with an emergency, tight deadline, or difficult customer. The worker is subject to tension as a regular, consistent part of the job.Physical Communication-Requires the ability to talk and to hear (talking defined as expressing or exchanging ideas by means of spoken words and hearing defined as perceiving nature of sounds by ear). Must be able to hear and understand communications through a telephone.Confidentiality-This position has access to significant amounts of confidential information including proprietary, financial, customer, and personnel/employee records.
