Zeichner Risk Analytics (ZRA), a small firm providing risk, policy, legal, and management consulting services to private sector and federal government clients, has an immediate opening for a Strategic Research Consultant.
Duties for this position include:
· Conduct research and evaluate the importance of each area of study.
· Strategic research planning and execution.
· Produce high-quality deliverables for non-technical audience; deliverables include briefings, analytic and research reports, white papers, and work plans.
· Apply professional and educational knowledge to analyze situations and take effective action.
· Consult, communicate, and advise private sector and federal clients to support risk management decisions and other projects.
· Prepare and provide articles for written publication.
· Establish and maintain client relationships with regular, effective communication and project updates.
Required Skills and Experience:
· Bachelor’s degree; Master’s degree preferred.
· The position is temporarily remote, with relocation in the Washington D.C. area preferred.
· Academic or professional background in teaching, liberal arts, journalism, research, international affairs, or another relevant field.
· Professional experience, preferably in a role involving writing, research, or education; previous consulting experience preferred.
· Ability to conduct research on complex subject matter and translate research for client deliverables, at an executive level.
· Ability to extract key findings from comprehensive literature reviews on relevant emerging trends.
· Excellent oral and written communications skills.
· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
· Interest in working in a multidisciplinary team and fast-paced, collaborative environment.
· Cooperative team leader and team member.
· Ability to obtain/maintain a Top Secret security clearance required; active Top Secret security clearance preferred.
