Job Description
Starting Pay: $28.34 /Hour $1.00/Shift Premium
Benefits start the first day: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k and Life
40 hours a week +Overtime
This inspection position is responsible for making sure that products meet a customer standards. Duties include visual inspection, cleaning, packaging and shipments of finished goods.
Corporate Band: HRLY Labor Grade: LG35 Union: Lodge 439
Responsibilities-
Utilize high degree of initiative and independent judgment in the analysis of material, piece parts and manufacturing operations. Work is performed in accordance with general instructions requiring independent discretion in the analysis of each operation.
Perform operations required to prepare parts for shipping
Perform material release test to qualify powder blends for production use
Perform daily audits of key operations
Investigate and report causes of scrap and rework by operations
Functionally direct activities of others in the processing of special or development parts

Quality Specific Goals:
1. Aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position
2. Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines
3. Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required
Qualifications-
1. Have demonstrated ability to interpret and comprehend written information for the purpose of setting up tests.
2. Have demonstrated mathematics ability to compile required data and interpret results.
3. Have demonstrated communication skills, both oral and written.
4. Have demonstrated ability to use and interpret standard measuring devices such as scales, caliper, micrometers, etc.
5. Have demonstrated ability to read and interpret machine piece part drawings.
6. Must follow all rules and instructions regarding the proper use of any equipment processes and controls put in place to ensure the safety and health of all personnel in the area.
