As an ASSISTANT VICE PRESIDENT of TRANSPORTATION, POST RETAIL and ONLINE SALES, no two days are ever the same, but a typical day will most likely include the following responsibilities:
Collaborating with the VP of Donated Goods for oversight of Revenue and Expense Management to monitor and pivot strategies that ensure the financial health of our business lines.
Partnering with other leadership team members to develop organizational and operational planning initiatives to meet strategic objectives of the departments of Transportation/Fleet, Post-Retail, and Online Sales.
Providing on-site training for individuals and/or groups to support ongoing development/enhancement of operating, safety, and performance standards.
Monitoring and evaluating the pricing of commodities to ensure maximum revenue potential is achieved through sales of aftermarket product
Managing warehouse space allocations between aftermarket, raw donations, and seasonal storage.
Building transportation schedules to support store delivery, pickup, and miscellaneous transportation responsibilities to support maximum efficiency and decreased expense.
Providing guidance and direction for the Director of Online Sales to support education, training, and development of store staff in support of extracting value from each online sale/donation.
The good news is that we have an amazing training program that will help teach you everything you need to sharpen your skills and build upon your strengths as an ASSISTANT VICE PRESIDENT of TRANSPORTATION and ONLINE SALES- but there are a few skills you should have from the get-go:
High school diploma or equivalent; college level course in business or marketing preferred
5+ years progressive leadership experience in transportation, fleet, or retail related services.
Ability to work with a diverse customer and associate populations is important to you.
