As a Business and Organizational Leadership Coach at Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility (PHNSY & IMF) you will coach, mentor, train, and counsel shipyard leaders and managers. You will partner with stakeholders to apply principles of organizational leadership, develop people, transform culture, improve performance, and achieve results through individual, group, team, and/or other coaching-based modalities. The Coach will work individually and as part of a team.

More About the Role

Provide weekly individual, group, and/or team coaching for mid-to-upper-level shipyard leaders.
Partner with senior stakeholders to assess needs, establish goals, and create/implement coaching strategies.
Participate in team meetings related to organizational strategy, team development, and professional development.
Conduct extensive individual and organizational assessments that include comprehensive summary reports.
Work with other Leadership Coaches to establish, track, and report metrics related to stakeholder goals and objectives.
Provide monthly and quarterly oral and written reports.
Shadow and observe leaders in meetings and daily work.
Leadership Coaches work in an active industrial environment outdoors, indoors, shipboard, in multiple industrial trade shops, and/or in a field office or CACI office environment.
Physical Demands: Normal demands associated with an office environment, including ability to work on a computer for long periods. Work is also in an active industrial environment that may require walking long distances carrying backpack filled with work materials (and transporting materials, supplies as needed), climbing ladders, and accessing confined spaces. Ability to lift/carry up to 25 lbs.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications

Must be a U.S. Citizen. Must have the ability to obtain a DoD Interim Secret security clearance and subsequent final DoD Secret security clearance.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
Completed a Coaching Training program or equivalent training that aligns with International Coach Federation (ICF) core competencies.
Ability to distinguish between coaching, mentoring, training, and consulting.
1-3 years of relevant experience in leadership development, facilitation, organizational development, change management, learning organizations, or process and performance improvement
Commitment to earning ICF coaching credential (if not already obtained) within 2 years after hire.
Ability to perform successfully both independently and as a team member.
High Emotional Intelligence and interpersonal skills (in person, email, telephone, written and online collaboration).
Ability to communicate with customers at all levels of the organization in a professional, effective manner.
Ability to organize work efficiently and manage time effectively.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
Completed Coach Training program.

These Qualifications Would Be Nice to Have

Active DoD Secret security clearance.
Knowledge or experience working in a Naval or Shipyard environment.
Knowledge or experience working in a large industrial environment.
Formal training or equivalent in coaching core competencies.
An industry-recognized coaching certification (International Coaching Federation, International Association of Coaching, etc.)
Certification and/or experience in some or all of the following:
Personality and/or skills assessments, e.g., Clifton Strengths, MBTI, TKI, DISC.
Process and/or performance improvement.
Change management.
Facilitation and/or training of leaders.
